(IN YOUR IMMEDIATE AREA). This Edgy Downtown Neighborhood is literally called "The Edge District". Nestled in the Birthplace of Rock and Roll, feet from Sun Studio, St. Blues Guitar, the Heartbreak Hotel, and Phillips Recording Studio you are located in "The Heart of Memphis, at the Edge of Downtown". This eclectic community once hosted the early 20th century auto industry, and was known as "Automobile Row". It is rumored that Johnny Cash once worked at the Hudson dealership, located at 629 Monroe, which is now a retro-30's events facility. A former auto parts distributor at 598 Monroe now houses High Cotton Brewery, the pride of Memphis Beer. The Wonder Bread Factory filled the air w/the smell of baking bread for over 1/2 a century. It closed during the recession, but is now in waiting to be re-purposed as a mixed-use residential facility. This healthy urban district still has an active car service industry, and multiple traditional businesses working in concert w/ emerging bio-technologies firms. The Urban Land Institute has designated "The Edge" as an Innovation District, and the neighborhood is working w/the Medical Center, the City, and private developers to drive The Edge forward, while retaining its' diverse heritage.

A private bath is connected with custom double walnut vanity & granite top. Also has walk-in shower w/Carrera marble in a retro 30's style. MBR #2 features custom reclaimed lumber furnishings and a private covered deck. Ample closet space and own Full Bath. BR # 3 has a light and airy feel w/large windows and white contemporary furnishings. There is a large closet and a turn of the century style bath w/claw foot tub right down the Hall. BR # 4 features beautiful oak-paneling and is warm and inviting. It doubles as a Library, and is affectionately called the "Sam Phillips Room" for the Sam Phillips picture and it's view across the street of Phillips Recording Service.
