Well equipped condo within walking distance to city center
I've rented through VBRO for years and this condo rates at the top of my list. It is thoughtfully equipped, has a gorgeous view, and the owners were a pleasure to work with. A couple of things to know - the Sky Train is elevated and runs in front of the building - it was my alarm clock every morning. You hear traffic noise. The rooms are very spacious. The kitchen is well equipped. The building is from the 1990s. I'm already planning my next stay.

Paradise in Vancouver
The view was spectacular looking down False Creek. Jim and Esperanza Smith were excellent host! We felt right at home on the day we arrived and hated to leave six weeks later. The condo was clean, and equipped with everything we needed. The train noise of the Expo Line might be a problem to some; however, we missed the noise when we returned home. We are hoping the condo is available next year.

What a magical experience! Jim and Esperenza’s warm welcome, helpful suggestions and special touches throughout their impeccably clean and artfully furnished condo made us feel right at home while simultaneously making us feel as though we were visiting royalty! Their attention to every detail is felt throughout and it is obvious that their goal is to be certain you enjoy your stay. Truly, the magic of this condo is the views; they are simply stunning! The energy of the city delights daily and just captivates you as you watch all the activity unfold below. The hustle, bustle, sounds and vibrancy of the city were exactly what we were looking for. We are fortunate to live on a quiet nature preserve in the foothills of the North Georgia Mountains, so we enjoy spending our vacations in urban environments to experience city life and all that it offers. Vancouver, and particularly this location, does not disappoint. We loved walking the sea wall every day; it surrounds the city and makes for pleasant exploration. We also enjoyed the water taxis that transit up and down False Creek, a very civilized way to travel to dinner in Yaletown or over to Granville Island to shop their fresh food market! We were extremely impressed by Vancouver’s exceptional public transit system; it is efficient, safe, clean, reliable and reasonably priced. The Sky Train is right around the corner, you could not ask for a more convenient location. The Sky Train might be considered noisy by others, but we strongly feel that the views, location, quality of the condo and warmth of the owners outweigh city noises (easily mitigated by playing music or wearing noise cancelling headphones if you are sensitive). During our month-long visit, we explored several other neighborhoods which may be quieter, but to us they felt tightly squeezed, had limited views and would never offer the robust energy of the city on display daily from this condo location. It just made our hearts happy to come “home” each evening, toast the sunset from the balcony and await the colorful illumination of Rogers Arena, Science World and Vancouver’s waterfront skyline to entertain us. Thank you Jim and Esperenza for a memorable visit! Everything was perfect!

Excellent apartment and location and it is just like in the pictures. Hosts are pretty nice, welcoming and 100% available for any kind of help or issue. We had an amazing time and I truly recommend!

Why they chose this property

We bought this property because of the spectacular view and the potential to renovate and re-design the apartment into something really special. Since we live four floors above, we are usually readily available to assist our guests with any needs they may have. Generally, after introduction to the suite, we leave our guests to themselves, although when encouraged, Jim, an avid wine collector, has been known to share a bottle with our guests.

What makes this property unique

The apartment is bright and spacious with a open, modern concept. There is a stunning European style kitchen with hand-made maple bar. There is a temperature controlled wine cellar and a wine bar adjacent to the dining area. The living room is open to the kitchen and dining areas and provides a comfortable space to relax, entertain, watch TV or just enjoy the view. Both bedrooms are large with water views as well. The master bedroom has a large ensuite bathroom.
