Not as expected
The house was very dirty and it doesn't come with A/C. I did reach out to Carla but she told me she didn't advertise A/C. This is true but I didn't know that was a standard thing to assume a place doesn't have it. We did get a night free but overall underwhelming.

Beautiful Pine Cone Lodge
Place was as described!!! Plenty of room. Comfortable beds. It was close to Lead and Deadwood but home was tucked into the mountains and felt very private.

An absolutely wonderful place to stay for a family trip. Occassionally had hot water issues, but otherwise everything went perfect.

Cone lodge
The view was beautiful and has deer that was near the house, which was cool. The house is set back enough to be private. Very nice house but wasn't very clean and the sheets on the master bedroom were dirty. No WIFI and the Verizon signal was sketchy.

Why they chose this property

We built this custom log home for our family to enjoy the Beautiful South Dakota Black Hills.
It has all the amenities but with a secluded feel. A great place to get away from it all.
Watch deer and turkey meander through the property.
It is so relaxing to be here!

What makes this property unique

We love hanging out in the cabin together without all the pressures of the daily to do list, looking out the windows seeing the forest and wildlife , discovering new paths to four wheel, trying a new ski slope or finding an out of the way eatery- we enjoy just spending quality time together in the relaxing atmosphere of the Pine Cone Lodge.
