About the property

Convenient in-town location, clean and comfortable.

Welcome to the perfect Deadwood getaway!

Our 1000 sq ft cottage has been updated with a huge tile shower, new laminate floors and carpet, a big front porch and a mix of new and vintage comfortable furniture.

You will sleep soundly in the king bed in the bedroom while your family or guests snooze on sofa-sleepers in the large living room. Also in the living room is a 50'" TV with Netflix for relaxing after a long day of exploring. The dining room has seating for six at the table as well as a separate area with a couch and armchair away from the TV. Yes, we have Wifi!

The cheerful kitchen has the utensils, dishes and pantry staples that you will need. Just behind the kitchen is a laundry room with a nice full-size washer and dryer and the door to the back yard patio where there is a gas grill and lawn furniture.

Conveniently located in town with private parking for 2 vehicles in front of the house, you will be within walking distance of downtown entertainment and restaurants, or catch a ride on the Deadwood Trolley as it makes the rounds.

The Deadwood Trail Head to the famous Mickelson Trail is across the street from the house, 110 miles of wonderful scenic bike rides through the Black Hills. We look forward to hosting you this summer!

Why Lorann Berg chose Deadwood

We have lived in the Black Hills since 1972 in various towns including Lead and Spearfish. We like to spend time exploring the hills, so when our friend moved down south, we took the opportunity to buy his house. This is a perfect location to bike the Mickelson Trail or stay for the many events in Deadwood. We hope our guests enjoy it as much as we do.

Super Comfy Home!

  • 5 of 5

Thank you for the opportunity to stay for a weekend getaway at this cozy, clean home! Everything was wonderful, roomy, quiet and clean. We enjoyed down time and watching a few movies. Our only suggestion would be a few local TV channels to check weather for traveling, etc. Otherwise the the place is so perfect, close to town and all the surrounding areas. Best wishes to you in the future. We hope to come back again in the summer months.

Owner's Response: I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay and hope that you will be able to come back this summer. We tried TV antennas but they don't work in the house so this spring we will get one mounted on the roof and see if that works. I agree it would be nice to get the local stations. Looking forward to your next visit!

Absolutely wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

We were here just for a long weekend and this house was perfect! It was very clean! Has everything you need even cinnamon rolls for breakfast were waiting for us! Only a short walk to town or the trolley pick up is literally just down the block very convenient. Lorann was always quick to get back to me with any questions we had about our stay at Dogwood. We would definitely recommend this house, we will for sure be keeping it in mind when we come back to visit wonderful Deadwood! Thank you!

Great location to Main Street in Deadwood!

  • 4 of 5

House was perfect for my husband and I. We stayed a week in Deadwood, driving to area attractions. The house was more than we expected in supplies, even Cinnamon buns on the counter when we got there. We had a little problem with the internet and TV when we got there, but Lorann was very accommodating, and came over twice to help with the problem. I would highly recommend this very cute, very clean home!
