Welcome to LaMaison, one of three vacation destinations that comprise Casa Comfort Vacation Rental Homes. These homes are designed for discerning vacationers who seek a property with just a little more character, a splash of design, oozing comfort, top notch amenities (on site and in the surrounding neighborhoods), and offering an unparalleled setting for making memories while connecting with family and/or friends.

LaMaison is an oasis where you can plan an outing for yourself and those you want to spend time with. Decompress and unwind at LaMaison, where nature surrounds you and relaxation seems to be the preferred order of the day. Relaxation which may include suiting up to ski the local resorts, checking out Kalahari's indoor water park, donning some ice skates, working on that sun tan or taking an enjoyable stroll along this premiere diamond resort community's lake and hiking. Sample the many fine dining establishments in the area or use our well outfitted and spacious kitchen and test your culinary skills. So much to do, or not, the choice is yours - we provide a back drop that is conducive to whatever you like to do on vacation in a home away from home.

Whether you choose to stay for a few days or a month or two, we will do our best to meet budget needs. If a price is not posted, send me a message and I will do my bets to respond quickly. We have a STR license with Tobyhanna but also provide long term rentals as well.

This 4BR 2BA 1 car garage with 2400 square feet sleeps 8. Three televisions and WiFi means junior can game while you watch the Super Bowl.

You could not ask for a better location! The Lake Naomi community is spacious and amenity rich! Should you elect to take out a Temporary Membership, the Lake Naomi Club Resort offers so much in the way of recreation: tennis, indoor/outdoor swimming, golf, exercise facilities, sauna, steam rooms, water park, hiking trails, sailing, canoeing, fishing, fine dining, and more. We are STEPS from the Lake Naomi Pool. You can increase your offerings by visiting some of the local state parks, Kalahari, Pocono Raceway, the Outlets, wine tasting, antiquing ... the list is quite lengthy! All can be found within a short ride of the community, if you so choose. But no pressure - relaxation is THE #1 activity! Just know that many options exist if you are so inclined!

Of all the Casa Comfort properties, this one is THE most relaxing, hands down! When we need a break in our own lives, when we want to slow down and catch our breath, this is where we go because it is quiet, private, put your feet up kinda' comfortable, and it is captivating! We love the kitchen with it's granite counter tops, custom tile back splash, stainless steel appliances, and the hardwood laminate flooring throughout (I too thought it was the real McCoy at first), the screened porch and private setting that is due in large part to the gargantuan Mountain Laurel bushes, mature trees and lush foliage that surround the property and provide a screen from neighbors and the [nominal] street traffic year round. Though we can't promise, depending on what time of year your trip brings you to LaMaison, you may see a deer or a pesky bear from time time sauntering across the property!

The house looks great and lives large! Beds are comfy, rooms are spacious and home decor is inviting and warm. Unlike other vacation rentals, we pride ourselves in creating a homey environment where you can come and relax, interact with friends, host a big meal or even elect solitude if "Me Time" is calling. Our goal is for you to feel like you are vacationing with all the comforts of that which is familiar and welcoming in your own personal home.

Enjoyed our time
House has age to it... Wouldn't hurt for a spruce up with fresh paint and drywall repair. Wendy was very, very accommodating.

Lake Naomi, Pocono Pines Is Wonderful
My family and I needed a mid-May week at Lake Naomi with a LNC temporary pass to use the amenities. We especially needed the pass to enter the Community Center. Wendy kindly offered that with her listing (as a separate charge from LNC) along with allowing us to bring our little dog. The visit was great and we really enjoyed ourselves. The most important highlights for us staying at the house included the nice table in the screened porch and the fire pit. Wendy found she could offer us an early check-in and a late check-out for our week. We've never have had that before and it was a gracious, thoughtful gesture. On the downside, I have to agree with other reviewers that the mattresses need upgrading. Because of our family situation, the oldest people in the family ended up attempting to sleep in the twin beds that were topped with three squeaky mattresses. It was difficult to enter and exit the beds and sleeping was very uncomfortable. The only other negative we discovered is that the house is close enough to Route 940 that you can hear some road noise when you are outside or in the screen porch. Luckily that wasn't too bad and the neighborhood, itself, was very quiet, allowing for pleasant walks down to the lake.

Long Weekend for a Bday Getaway
I rented this property for my husband's birthday weekend, to get away and celebrate with close friends and family. We had a great stay. The house was perfect for our group. The owner was very kind, organized, and provided us with great information about the area and how best to utilize their home. I would definitely recommend!

About the host

We own a hand full of vacation rentals and we pick our properties based on whether we would enjoy vacationing in a certain region and if the house would create a meaningful, attractive and memorable backdrop for friends and family to gather. We try to create an environment that offers more personality, comfort and coziness than a sterile hotel room or a home that is void of any warmth or a homey feel. When we vacation we want to do so in a carefree environment that is neat, clean, updated, welcoming and relaxing.

My husband jokes that some day he would like to actually use the homes we work so hard to maintain and update, but our family is spread out across the country and very active so between family time and work our free time is not our own. Retirement can't get here soon enough!

My husband is from the Buffalo area and spent his youth there. Post college took him to Houston, Texas where he has a satellite office. He moved to the Phildelphia area where we met. He continues to commute to his Houston, TX office on a regular basis and his many clients largely in the US and Canada.

I grew up in the Philadelphia area, although college, grad school and my early career took me to New York, New Hampshire, Washington, DC and California. Both my husband and I met in the Philadelphia region, raised our children there and love our 250 year old farmhouse in Pottstown, Chester County, which is where we hang our hats when we are not on the road.

Welcome to Casa Comfort La Maison - your home away from home!

Why they chose this property

When I was between jobs and our children were very young, my mother convinced us to get away for a few days and suggested the Poconos. 'The Poconos???!!!' I said...immediately heart shaped beds, champagne glass hot tubs and all that is tacky is what came to mind! Lake Naomi could not be further from that vision! We visited with friends in Lake Naomi and quickly became hooked! We are avid tennis players and the facilities were extremely attractive! Courts are super well maintained, a separate clubhouse and pro shop, high level competition, not to mention the gorgeous lake and pools - we loved our time there! We own places at the beach and this is the place we relax the best, year round! You can choose to be solitary or find a pick-up game if one feels like venturing out, find a desolate beach with idyllic views of the lake or eat with friends poolside or lakeside and have a delightful and satisfying culinary experience.

We fell in love with LaMaison when we pulled up to the house! Steps from the Lake Naomi pool, we were instantaneously struck with the open floor plan and the two story stone fireplace as soon as we opened the front door! We loved the fact that if you are in the kitchen you are still a part of what may be unfolding elsewhere, enjoying a roaring fire or just hanging out after dinner either sitting around the large DR table or outside on the screened in porch.

When we need to get away, this is where we come, year round and so close to home! Rarely is traffic an issue and if we want to shop the outlets, hike, ski, antique shop, eat at a fine dining establishment, walk the boutiques at Kalahari (my kids are bummed it wasn't built sooner!) ski or check out Camel Beach, Jack Frost or Big Boulder or even venture north to Elk, the opportunity exists within Lake Naomi or nearby.

What makes this property unique

In 2016 we renovated the kitchen, the two baths, and replaced all the flooring on the first floor with an engineered laminate that really opened up the space. and holds up quite well to typical wear and tear and significant foot traffic The bathrooms are so much more luxurious and kitchen is so much more functional.

We have upgraded the septic system, installed new thermostats throughout, mini mobile A/C units for the public spaces and are presently replacing and repainting exterior siding and trim, as well as painting.

Don't forget to check out the foosball table - a favorite hangout for my kids, and likely yours too!

We love the stone fireplace that runs two floors, the open space floor plan, the screened porch, the brightness of the house even though we are in the woods, the wonderful cross breezes and the single car garage which provides protection when the weather is not cooperating.

We added a portable air conditioner to the first floor in 2016, and a second one to the loft in 2018, although the canopy of trees and cross breezes when the windows are open make the house very comfortable in the warmer months. The units are most appreciated on the super humid days.

Again, we have tried to decorate in a manner that is comfortable, tasteful and inviting and based on our guest book and reviews, our guests overwhelmingly agree. We hope you do too!
