About Mike Ketcheson

Mike and Erika live in Ottawa Ontario, they are passionate skiers, sailors and travelers. They love spending time at Tremblant and after two years of renting on the mountain, they decided to purchase in January of 2015. When they are not spending time at the mountain, you will likely find them cruising up and down the Ottawa river on their sailboat or travelling around the world.

Why Mike Ketcheson chose Mont-Tremblant

Le Plateau offers the best of all worlds at Tremblant. It is a quite peaceful oasis that offers total great privacy and an opportunity for total relaxation while only being a short 10 minute walk to the village and all of the culture and action that Tremblant is famous for. In the winter it is a true ski in / ski out condo right from the back door and in the summer it is a perfect family location with great amenities, including a beautiful heated pool and tremendous opportunities to enjoy nature in the Laurentians. It is the perfect spot!

Peaceful Fall Retreat!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed four peaceful nights at Mike’s cozy, clean condo. Mike was a pleasure to deal with and communicated lots of information in advance that helped us prepare for our getaway. The unit is located in a quiet idyllic setting with private back patio in the woods and yet is only a 10 minute walk to the pedestrian village. The condo is equipped with all we needed to enjoy dinners in after lots of fresh air hiking the trails. We brought enviro-logs and had dinner by firelight. We brought our own coffee and basic supplies but drove to St Jovite one day to pick up a few groceries at Metro. S. Bourassa warehouse had some good gourmet frozen stuffed fish and fresh sesame bagels. Their fresh produce was amazing. We had the best sleeps ever in the comfy bed! We opened the drapes one morning to find a deer grazing outside our window. He stayed and posed for pictures. A lovely way to spend Thanksgiving with great accommodation, fall colours, great walks and a hopping village for people watching and lunches out.

We had a lovely, restful week in Le Plateau with wonderful weather and lots of long walks and lots of sleep. The bed is perfect, there is everything in the kitchen you need to cook and Mike is always available if there are any questions or problems. Definitely happy we booked this place.

A truly relaxing family getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Our family vacationed here (with 2 small children) and had the most amazing time! The condo was perfect with a room for the kids and the extra bathroom was key! They loved the trundle bed and bunk bed. We took nature walks every morning to the nearby waterfalls and also spent some time a the beautiful outdoor pool, even though the temperature was in the 50's (F). The water was perfectly heated and my 3-year-old couldn't get enough of it! Also a beautiful walk down the mountain into the village with lots of great activities. It was a little long for the 3-year-old, but she managed, and you can always take the shuttle if you prefer.

Mike had all of the necessities there for our arrival, including some bath products and coffee. Everything was spotless and in perfect order. The fireplace gave such a nice touch to the chilly mountain evenings as well. I can't thank you enough! We don't often have the opportunity to get away together and just unwind, and this was just the perfect vacation that we all needed together!!

Great spot!

  • 5 of 5

Great location, quiet corner unit, nice patio with grill and adirondack chairs. Mike's place was very clean and as described in his description. Short walk to the pool and easy access to the village with lots of restaurants/shops/hiking trails and bike paths. Plenty of room for family of 4. Mike was super responsive to questions and gave some suggestions on places to go. He provided lots of information ahead of time which was helpful as well. Would definitely stay at his place again.
