About this property

Million Dollar Home with a large fireplace, hot tub and sauna!

This exceptional $1.5 million dollar home that is located on Long Lake. Long Lake is the most popular lake in this area, for 2 reasons. The first reason is the water temperature and beaches (warm and sandy). Whereas the other lakes have become mucky or very shallow (for 100-200 feet) due to the loss in recent water levels over the past several years. Long Lake is also a large lake with islands, and large enough for all types of watercraft and fabulous fishing; whereas smaller lakes can only accommodate paddle boats or fishing boats due to the lake noise level while operating. If you waterski you're in luck!! There is a professional waterski course on Long Lake as well. The second reason for the high demand for Long Lake is that it's the closest lake to Traverse City. Approximately 5 minutes away. Expensive real estate for this area, and high demand.

Other features of the home include TWO master suites, a home surround sound system, granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, flat screen TV, internet access, a computer in the home and fantastic gardens.

This quality home housed the Royal Family from the United Kingdom last summer for two weeks in July!

Come and enjoy quality comfort!

This home is situated on a peninsula (of Long Lake); therefore private. The exterior of the home features fabulous gardens, a flagstone porch, private hot tub, gas grill, and your own private platform for swimming. The lawn is nicely manicured and thick. Lawn games and an above ground fire pit are also included.

Interior of the home:

The interior of the home features tall cedar plank ceilings, and a warm feeling. This 5 bedroom, 4 bath home can almost be referred to as a suite house. Three of the bedrooms have their own private bathrooms, and the fourth and fifth bedrooms share the other full bathroom. Two of the bedrooms are master suites. One master bedroom features a king size bed, full bath, lake views with large picture windows, and French doors leading onto a deck. The second master bedroom features a queen size bed, leather sectional in the living room area, fireplace, and private bath. Bedroom #3 has a queen size bed, and private bath. Bedroom #4 has 2 twin beds, and bedroom #5 has a full/twin size bunk bed. Additional sleeping accommodations available on a roll away bed. The home has a stereo system that plays throughout the house, indoor dry sauna, internet access, local phone service, washer and dryer, and air conditioning.

The main living room features a large stone fireplace, a big Plasma TV, and amazing views of the water. The dining room has seating available for 6 people, and the breakfast room off the kitchen has seating for 4 people. In addition, it has an open kitchen that has four stools at the island. The kitchen is stocked with very nice appliances (and dishwasher) as well as everything needed in preparing meals.

Beautiful view
The gardens were beautiful. The deck was great with plenty of seating and offered a lot of shade. The view was magnificent. The management company responded within 24 hours of our calls re: hot tub. First call was to get all the sand out of it and the filter working, second call was for chlorine, the containers were empty or dated in the 1970's. The home is advertised as air conditioned , however, only the common areas on main level and master are air conditioned. The other bedrooms are not air conditioned, in fact we found no duct work so they probably aren't heated either. I had asked the management company before going about the number of towels and was told 10+ beach and 10+ bath. There were 8 beach and 7 bath, no hand towels and one wash cloth, so bring your own. Also you may want to bring your own pillows as there was not enough for our group of 8. One adult ended up sleeping on the bunk bed instead of the queen bed upstairs. The bed was shaped like a soup bowl and needs to be replaced. Many of the pots and pans needed to be washed before use as there was dried up food on them. It is evident that the owners use this place a lot as it was difficult to find cabinet space in the kitchen and in the bedroom closets. The dock is L shaped and on the outside of the L there are many planks of wood in the water that I considered hazardous and would not let my 9 year old grandchild swim on the outside of the L. The management company said there used to be an old sawmill there and through the years the wood has washed up toward shore. It is also advertised as no pets. My family has sever animal allergies and the housekeeper told me she had to vacuum a lot of pet hairs however several pet hairs were left behind. The deck was very nice with adequate seating. We had pizza from the place around the corner and it was delicious.
