About Alex Williams

We bought the sand in 2002 and finished construction of the building in December 2008. It has concrete pylons and ceiling to handle the mysterious winds. We built this property the way we did our own home...she's built to last. It's a great location being out of the PCB crowds on the East and the high rise compaction of Destin to the West. Located in a residential area, the best word I can use is 'serene'.

We want to simply offer families the ability to stay on the beautiful white sands of Laguna Beach at a quality of living that exceeds the rest. There is exceptional dining and shopping close by. But the best is to catch or purchase fresh seafood and cook it right there in the open (Fully stocked) kitchen while you build family memories to cherish. After all, we are not promised tomorrow.

What makes this condo unique

It's not just what you don't see that makes this property unique. You are surrounded by ocean views from the main entertaining area and on throughout the master bedroom with ocean-view jetted tub and private balcony. We are raising the bar on quality and luxury in our suites by offering 100% Egyptian Linens and Turkish Towels throughout; and Pool towels - bring your own beach towels. In addition, each suite is stocked with a full sized washer and dryer so don't worry about packing much, just come and enjoy the view. Each Room has a USB adapter on the night stand for cell phone, iPod, or MP3 players.

Beautiful Place

The owner did not exaggerate when describing the luxury of this condo. We were extremely impressed and it exceeded our expectations. We had a few bumps during our stay but the owner was very quick to respond and handle quickly. It's to be expected with a location directly on the beach. With 3 couples, a grandma and a toddler, The layout was perfect for us. We would highly recommend and plan on staying here again.

The property and amenities were great but management handled things poorly.

We planned to rent this very nice property for Spring Break with our teenage boys and another couple and their small kids, who we consider family. Out of nowhere on Thursday evening I get a phone call from the manager who’s first words were “it sounds rowdy there!” I explained that my husband and I were at Pier Park and yes it was very loud there. He proceeded to be very confrontational on the phone, telling me he had been getting complaints all week from both upper and lower floors about #1 our music #2 the balcony doors being left open and #3 a Jell-O shot was offered to a minor. I asked the man why he did not call us sooner on these complaints so I could have querried my teenagers. I also told him that balcony doors were never “left open”. I then proceeded to tell him that there was strong smell of marijuana coming from lower floor. The manager said I should have called the police. I told him that half the week the teenagers were not even with us, they were at Destin spending 2 or 3 nights with friends and Thurs. night they headed on back home. I also told him I had been working hard to respect and maintain his property but it was difficult without a vacuum or mop and the balcony doors were very dirty, he said he couldn’t help that, due to beach/ocean environment. I did not mention to him that all shower liners were nasty and moldy. Vents in bathroom were filled with dust. After this phone call I thought to myself why did the manager not call me sooner about these complaints and if they were so bad why did he not tell the other parties that were overwhelming him with complaints to call the police. I tried calling him back, he would not answer, so I left message and text.

The next morning my husband went down to talk to the maintenance guy, who was a great guy. Maintenance told Joe that the manager wanted us to leave and that the other parties were leaving because of us, hmmm, they left at checkout time and we found out later that another party was coming in that day.

I phoned VRBO explaining my situation, they gave me a Case # and transferred me, manager was called and VRBO’s response to me was that we were in breech of contract, no explanation, nothing.

VRBO did try to relocate us but to no avail. Owner/ manager made one crappy call, kicked us out and kept our deposit, not happy.

Owner's Response: It is extremely unfortunate for everyone when a guest chooses to violate the rental agreement. They were the first guests of the season in this unit and as always the property is immaculately maintained both inside and out. The behavior exhibited by this group not only made another family leave a day early but also put the safety of all guests and their children in danger. We do NOT tolerate underage drinking, soliciting to minors, or use of drugs which is why this group was removed from the property. This is a family oriented environment where safety is our number one issue. I apologize to all guests present during this difficult week. Alex Williams (owner/property manager)

Everything thing you could possibly want in a beachside stay!

Where do I begin? The unit was immaculately decorated and clean, and it was the perfect size for our large family. We were steps away from the beach and the water, and the unit's balconies also provided a great view! Alex and her staff provided great service at check-in and throughout the week. We placed an order for beach chairs and umbrellas, an extra cost that is well worth it! Every morning bright and early, the chairs and umbrellas were ready for us! The unit is just a couple of miles away from grocery stores and pharmacies, and there are several restaurants located close by as well. I guess the best statement to make is this: we will definitely be back!

Awesome!!

This property was a perfect layout for our family, super clean and just as the pictures show it. The kitchen had high end appliances and cookware. We had everything we needed. Being able to walk right out to the beach was great. Also for our older parents there were no stairs to manuever going down to the beach. This place will not disappoint.

Luxury Vaction Rental

I would highly recommend this property to anyone. The Riviera Grande was exceptional. The staff went over and beyond to make our vacation perfect. Please don't make the mistake and miss out on this hidden gem!
