Photos and Description of the McMinnville vacation lodge rental

This lodge style home in the heart of McMinnville sits on a very quiet and private two acres. Located just .4 miles from the historic 3rd street business district, it is an oasis of peace. The house is unseen from the road. When you enter through the driveway, you enter an area of large oaks, and towering fir trees. It feels like you have entered another world, more reminiscent of Mount Hood than McMinnville. The south side of the house features a forty foot bank of floor to ceiling windows which look out on a mixed variety of forest trees and a creek. Birds and deer abound in the area.

The house features a living room, dining room and kitchen capable of handling a large group of people. It is beautifully furnished with mission style furniture, and is accented with a variety of locally created art work. The cherry wood dining room table can seat 14 people. There is a rock fire place that takes up nearly the entire wall on the east end of the living room, making for a very cozy atmosphere. There is a convenient half bath near the dining room and kitchen.

Downstairs, there are three bedrooms, each with their own french doors that open onto a deck with the same south view as the living room and dining room. Two of the bedrooms have their own in suite bathrooms. The third bedroom has its own bathroom across the hall. The bathrooms are well appointed with marble showers and two of them also have bath tubs. The rooms are furnished with mission style furniture and are complemented by beautiful bed covers and original northwest artwork. Two of the bedrooms have both a queen size bed and a twin bed. The third bedroom has a queen size bed.

The west end of the house features a separate living space with a private bath, and kitchenette. This space has a wonderful view of the woods and creek, a private entrance as well as a common entrance. It features cathedral ceilings, and cedar walls. The large bathroom has both a soaking tub and a shower. The room has both a queen size bed and a twin bed.

The tower room is a quiet, get-away with a beautiful 360 degree view of the woods. It features a futon couch that folds down into a full size bed.

The kitchen is set up to handle the demands of large groups of people. It features a large refrigerator as well as a 36 inch commercial viking range. There is plenty of dinnerware, silverware, and glassware to accommodate your group needs.

The size, accommodations, and the private environment of this house make it a perfect place for large groups, corporate retreats, and family reunions.

The location of this unique home, centrally located in Yamhill county, makes it an ideal spot from which to head out on adventures. The area abounds in wineries, and wonderful eating establishments. There are great bike rides to be discovered, and it is just an hour to the coast.

This house is located in the heart of Yamhill County's wine country, where over 80 wineries and 200 vineyards represent the largest concentration of wine growers and producers in any county in Oregon.

Within a half a mile is McMinnville's Historic Third Street, where you can find 12 wine tasting rooms, and over 20 restaurants. In addition, there are many interesting shops, galleries, and Gallery Theater.

Linfield College is located within two miles, where there are many concerts and lectures. Linfield also hosts the International Pinot Noir Festival in July.

Other events are SIP, Wine and Food Classic in March, UFO Festival, and Turkey Rama Festival in July,

Starting just a short distance from the house, there are many low traffic scenic bicycle routes, that go by wineries and vineyards. Our favorite ride travels through Muddy Valley, past rolling hills, vineyards, orchards, a llama farm, and ends at the Lawrence Gallery.

For those of you interested in the aeronautical world, you won't want to miss the Evergreen Air and Space Museum.
