Unique experience
This stay was a highlight of our trip. The unit was spacious, clean and comfortable. But what really makes it stand out is the location, the land it’s on and the amazing views it has. It's a nice place where to base yourself while visiting the north part of the island. Everything was so easily accessible. Yet when you are up there, you feel like you are in another world completely. The hosts were very nice too and took the time to tell us about their amazing ranch and their kids even took time to show our kids all their animals. Wish we would have stayed longer!

A stay we will never forget!
My husband and I came during a blustery March and enjoyed ourselves so much. Terri and Tim are so very helpful and generous. They were quick to communicate and answered all of our questions about things to see in the area, activities etc. We were thankful for the beach supplies, coffee, and water that they supplied for us. We fell in love with Custard the pig, and were in total awe of the property. Our favourite part was walking up to the weather tower and sitting on the lawn in total serenity. The horses and cows kept an eye on us and we loved coming back to our cozy home at the end of a beach day. The drive itself is something you'll never forget. Thanks so much Terri and Tim!

Hawaii Ranch Experience
We decided to stay at Kahua Ranch for 9 nights, to have the experience of being on a Hawaii ranch. It was extremely interesting as well as beautiful. There is no great view from the apartment you stay in but just a few steps outside and on a clear day you will see an amazing view all the way down to the coastline. We were able to walk around parts of the property, saw the large herds of cattle and sheep, visited with the adorable pig "Custard" and had several very interesting chats with Terry, one of the owners. The ranch is over 100 years old and the history is quite interesting. An experience that will be entirely different from staying at a resort, I highly recommend it.

Amazing views, just not from the house
The views from the surrounding area were absolutely spectacular. The view from the actual house was comically terrible/non-existent, a fact that really should have been explicit on the listing. The house was clean, modern, and comfortable. The area directly outside the house looked forgotten and unkept. The hosts were kind, friendly, and helpful. We really enjoyed the cool air and quiet to retreat to at the ranch, as well as the sunsets and stargazing from the nearby yard.
