Peace and quiet
The cottage is lovely, warmx, quiet and comfortable with everything you could need. Despite the additonal cost for the sofa bed bedding we would stay again. 😊

Great cottage!
This is the place to stay for a very comfortable visit to Corbridge. The house is very clean and there is plenty of room. There is also a garden with a superb view over the countryside. Corbridge is really nice (beautiful streets, nice shops) and so is nearby Hexham. Northumbria national park is within reach and so is Hadrian's Wall, both worth a visit.

Disappointing
Lovely looking property & great views. Very poor cooking implements - 1 saucepan, no fry pan, cramped working services. Uncomfortable sofas impossible to get comfortable on. Extremely firm bed which did not promote good sleep. No local walks for dogs. Lovely views

My Favorite English Respite
Dilston Cottage was like our own little English hideaway, very accessible, charming, cozy, within walking distance of bustling little Corbridge, steeped in the history of Hadrian’s Wall a short drive away. All our needs were met, comfy bed, kitchen, we even caught up on laundry, a dry stack walled yard with rolling farm fields beyond, with a table and chairs for our evening wine. We woke to the twitter of many different bird species in the garden. Great host, perfect ambiance, our favorite stop on our Great Britain trip!

We've had our cottage - attached to our farmhouse since 2007, we love welcoming visitors to Northumberland and helping them to get to know this wonderful county.

Why they chose this property

Visitors always comment on how quiet and secluded the cottage is , even though it is within easy walking distance of Corbridge

What makes this property unique

Enjoy west facing views and sunsets from the secluded garden in spring and summer. Keep warm in the cosy cottage in winter. Lots of walks on the doorstep. We welcome one well behaved pet.
