3 Bdrm, 3 And 1/2 Baths, Den, Two Decks, Patio, Hot Tub, Exquisite Finishes!

Michele and I have been coming to Big Sky for over 15 years. We love to ski but we come year-round and we really love the Meadow! This residence is our fourth and most upscale residence in the meadow and if you cannot find an open slot on this residence calendar then you might check out the following VRBO numbers: 240962, 582804, or 608472. Residence Physical Description:

This is a lovely almost 3,000 Square Foot, three level Condo with three and one half bathrooms, one master suite on the ground-level, a second master suite on the third-floor along with a large guest bedroom/bunk room. There is also a modest den for quiet gathering/TV, napping, or reading; yet this den has a new Queen sofa sleeper with a door for added privacy. This den can act as a fourth bedroom if desired. The residence occupies a premium location, close to the clubhouse and swimming pool and located at the end of its building which means it has beautiful, sunlit windows around three sides of the residence. The second-floor gourmet kitchen is fully supplied with all utensils, a granite-topped kitchen island with seating for two and granite counter tops and back-splash throughout the kitchen. There is wood cove molding throughout the entire residence with many wood accents such as overhead beams in the dining room off the kitchen. There are also two small decks for sipping coffee and admiring the views on both the north and south sides of the second floor living level along with a private patio, hot tub, and gas grill on the ground level facing south toward the green space and golf course. All three bathrooms have enclosed, glass-door, stone showers with granite vanity tops and the third floor Master bathroom also has a large soaking tub and dual sinks with a multi-head shower. The first two floors are laid with hand-cut quarter-sawn real wood flooring with carpeting throughout the third-level. There is an elegant, eight seat dining room off the kitchen with windows on two sides, and located close-by there is a windowed, granite-topped office space that can serve as additional dining space for children. The main living room is windowed on three sides with spectacular sunny southern exposure mountain and golf course views and a slate, real-wood fireplace. Finally, the residence is equipped with a large, one-car heated garage so skiers and boarders begin each day with clean, dry equipment. A second vehicle may be parked outside, directly behind the garage door.

Location and Amenities:

This is a South facing residence with all day sun which looks out across a large green space, driving range, and golf course with views across the green space to the mountains south of Town Center. Almost unheard of in Big Sky, you will have summer access to a private association swimming pool & hot tub with year-round access to an association clubhouse, pool table, and exercise room. There is a lovely tributary of the Gallatin River running directly in front of the residence which provides a peaceful babbling brook sound effect when running freely in three seasons. The World-famous Lone Mountain Ranch Nordic Ski Center maintains an extensive cross-country trail network which literally encircles the residence and flows both out into the green-space and golf course as well as up-mountain into two different trails which lead back toward the Ranch; one a moderate difficulty, 15 minute route and a second, more strenuous 25 minute course. A trail pass is required in the winter and in the summer months these trail systems become multi-use, hiking, jogging, and biking recreational avenues. The residence is a 40 minute drive to West Yellowstone and its entrance to Yellowstone National Park. A two-minute drive east on Little Coyote road takes you to a lovely fishing pond and public recreation facility providing: 8 tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball and soccer fields, 18 hole mountainside Frisbee golf course, climbing wall, and a world class, concrete, feature-rich skateboard park complex, picnic shelters and charcoal grills. In the winter ski season, Lone Mountain Ranch Lodge and Nordic Ski Center is a three minute drive west, the drop off at the Big Sky base lodge is 6 minutes up the mountain, and the drop off at Moonlight Basin is 10 minutes up the mountain trail. One cautionary note for a winter stay in this residence: the mountain shuttle bus to the lifts is a whistle-stop on Little Coyote Road, three times a day (8am,11am, & 4pm) and it requires a transfer in Town Center and for some guests, this limited service might be an inconvenience. The concerts, skating, rodeos, farmers markets, movies, galleries, restaurants, bars and many activities of Town Center are a 10-minute walk in summer as the crow flies, or an easy 15-20 minute walk on the road through the golf community, and in all seasons, a three minute auto ride. Basically, the area and the location of this residence puts your family in an optimal Alpine retreat and sets the stage for making exquisite family memories!

Enjoy the Big Sky Zip Line on the mountain! Big Sky now offers a brand new 3 screen Movie Theater located in the Meadow. No more trips to Bozeman just to see a movie! You can eat in the theater and enjoy your favorite child OR adult beverage while watching the movie. In the summer ride the Tram to the TOP of Lone Mountain and see for hundreds of miles around. Remember if you are skiing and you do not posses the skill to ski from the peak, you can still ride the Tram up to the Peak and then ride the Tram back down again. This is a MUST DO. You can enjoy a gourmet meal in a newly opened log structure restaurant up on the mountain (I understand this will be open summer and winter as accessed by a chairlift from the base of Big Sky). There is simply soo very much to do right in Big Sky it is difficult to describe it all. Then to all of this, you add all that Yellowstone Park contributes to your family experience!

We would consider splitting the rent into two payments; but our standard operating procedure is to collect 100% in advance. Cleaning fees are moving upward in Big Sky; great dependable labor is difficult to find and difficult to manage. Our places are spotless. Thank you.

  • All three bathrooms in the residence have granite vanity tops, natural tile floors and natural stone tiled, full glass showers with seats. The Master Shower is dual headed. The Master bath also contains a large soaking tub. These are truly lovely bathrooms. The main knock on the residence as it is currently configured would be that there is no guest bathroom on the second-level main living space. This will change at the latest by Mid-September 2015 with the conversion of the second-level laundry room to a second-level stacked high-capacity washer/dryer and lovely but small guest half bath so that folks do not have to trek to their bedrooms from the second-level to use a bathroom.

  • There are three bedrooms and a den in this residence. One of the bedrooms is located on the entry-level of the three story condo. This bedroom has been made into a second Master bedroom suite with a Queen bed, private access to the patio and hot tub through its lovely French-style glass doors, a sitting area, and a private bathroom. We feel that this main-level bedroom is more appropriate for adults. The other two bedrooms and den are located on the third floor of the residence. We have placed a pull-out couch in the den. As with our other VRBO residences, the guest bedroom is a bunk room with a queen bed and a single over twin bunk bed. The main Master suite is also located on the third floor with a King bed, sitting area, dual head shower, large soaking tub, and dual sinks.

Notes:
Do not miss having at least one lunch at the upscale ski-in restaurant/bar located on the mountain...a bit expensive but oh so worth it! Our meadow place is upscale, spacious, a nice place to hang...not ornate but comfortable and comforting. When I ride a lift and talk with folks who live on the mountain in ski-in/ski-out residences I ask them where they eat out for dinner and recreate and they never say anyplace on the mountain; they always drive to the meadow to recreate in bars or restaurants and after they have had a few drinks they must wind back home up a rather dicey mountain road. I think ski-in-ski-out is the ultimate in convenience for skiing but almost nothing else is convenient to ski-in/ski-out locations plus the mountain village is colder in the summer and 2,000 feet higher in altitude than the meadow. Come live in the meadow where the non-downhill skiing recreation lives, where you can walk to and from entertainments of all types! We are biased I must admit!
