About this property

Self Catering Stylish Period Town House in Stamford

Park Gate stands on the edge of Burghley Park and is well situated within easy walking distance of Stamford's wonderfully preserved town centre. With its many restaurants, cafes and independent shops it is not surprising Stamford was voted by The Sunday Times "Best place to live in Britain" in 2014. Fully modernised to make the best of its period features, Park Gate has been furnished to a high standard with beautiful fabrics and accessories. It really is warm, welcoming and very comfortable. This self catering accommodation over four floors sleeping 4/5 comprises a welcoming entrance hall with coat hooks and worn stone steps leading down to a study, cloakroom and sitting room all with underfloor heating.
The cosy sitting room has 32" Smart TV and period fireplace, sofa and easy chairs in which to relax. Study with desk and chair and WIFI for those of you who need to keep in touch with your office.

Kitchen and dining area are situated on the ground floor and accessed off the entrance hall. The kitchen is fully fitted with Corian worktops, electric oven and hob, fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and a Krushr recycling compactor. A cold filtered water and hot steaming tap ensures you can make that quick “cuppa” without waiting for the kettle to boil. The kitchen is well equipped with white fine china and cooking utensils. Ironing board and iron available for use. The dining area has table and chairs to seat 4 although two additional chairs in the hall could easily be used to accommodate dining seating for up to 6.

From the corner of the dining area a door leads outside to a small walled patio area with table and chairs to enjoy the warmth of long summer evenings.

Double bedroom, dressing room and bathroom. The first floor accommodation comprises bathroom with large walk in shower. Towels are provided. The double bedroom has a French antique-style double bed adorned with the finest quality luxury linens, duck-down duvet and pillows which all ensure a blissful night’s sleep. Also on the first floor is a dressing room which serves the main bedroom. This dressing room also has a single bed with beautiful linen should you wish to accommodate a further person.
Twin bedded room. Accessed off the first floor landing is a narrow attic staircase leading up to the second floor twin bedded room. A very warm and comfortable room at the top of the house with views over Burghley Park. Luxury linen is provided.

A small outbuilding to the rear of the property can accommodate your bicycles.

Parking can usually be found just outside the front door on Burghley Lane or at the side of the property on Park Lane.

Perfect stay
This property was terrific. Very clean and ideally located for the town, restaurants, shop, Friday market etc. Also the gate opposite links to Burghley House which we visited on three consecutive days (ticket valid for a year!). Philippa
