Cottage View: You will have amazing views of the Malpeque harbor, sand dunes, beaches and the open ocean. You can view the fishing and lobster boats leave and return to the Malpeque wharf or just stare at the ocean surf. The cottage has been situated to take maximum advantage of the amazing unobstructed ocean views, the stunning sunrises and sunsets. You will have over an acre of land surrounded by sprawling farm fields, PEI lupins, nature and ocean. There is plenty of room to stroll, explore, kayak, bird watch (blue herons frequent the area), bicycle, beachcomb, dig for clams and of course relax!
Cabot Beach: You would be staying at one of the closest cottages to Cabot Beach Provincial Park or just “Cabot” as the locals call it. Cabot is one of the most beautiful provincial parks and beaches in PEI. The 360-acre Cabot Beach Provincial Park is the largest park in western PEI. You will find that Cabot Provincial park and beach to be much less busy then many of the other island beaches. Your cottage is a short walk (500 meters) or drive if you prefer, to Cabot Beach. The provincial park as you would expect is free of charge to use and is equipped with great facilities including; showers, fabulous playgrounds, excellent walking trails (along the forest and oceans edge), onsite lifeguards, and did we mention the spectacular beaches? The beach, sand bars and ocean are great for building sand castles, exploring, cooling off, long leisurely beach walks and of course relaxing.
Malpeque Wharf: Nearby the cottage (300 meters) is the Malpeque wharf which is located at the entrance to the Cabot Beach Provincial Park. The Malpeque wharf is home to a fresh seafood market, an excellent seafood restaurant and deep sea fishing. The restaurant is the “Malpeque Oyster Barn” (the mussels, oysters and strawberry shortcake are highly recommended, the rest are fantastic, but these are spectacular). Also at the Wharf is deep sea fishing via “Dales Deep Sea Adventures”.
Close By: Nearby (4 KM) at the “Malpeque Bay Kayak Tour” company are rentals and tours for; kayaks, standup paddle boards and bicycles. You are also close to the town of Kensington (10 minute drive) for any addition amenities (groceries, restaurants, liquor store, drug store, gas stations, banks, TIMS and much more). We highly recommend Mary’s Bake Shoppe and the Frosty Treat dairy bar in Kensington, both are must try locations!!! If you are up for a little scare the haunted Mansion in Kensington is lots of fun !!! In and around Kensington there are a number of quality restaurants including; "The Home Place Inn & Restaurant", "The Island Stone Pub", "Shipwright's Café", "Broadway 45" and many more.

We rented this cottage for a week in June and it was a very quiet and relaxing location. The cottage decor is clean and modern. It comes well equipped with washer, dryer and all kitchen amenities for a comfortable stay. The deck is a lovely spot to sit and enjoy the beautiful water views and morning sunrises.
Brian sent us a detailed information sheet (cottage information and restaurants/shopping/local activities) prior to our arrival. He answered all our questions promptly and the check-in process with the provided door access code went very smoothly.
The cottage is a 10 minute walk from Cabot Provincial park. We enjoyed exploring the beach and shoreline of this park. Malpeque Wharf (between park and cottage) is also great to explore. We enjoyed a wonderful meal at the Malpeque Oyster Barn. It is a small restaurant so reservations are recommended.
We enjoyed walking the beaches along the north coast. Our favorite was at Greenwich National park. We also enjoyed our bike ride along the waterside trail from Cavendish to North Rustico. The lobster supper at New Glasgow is not to be missed. A great home base to explore PEI!

Lovely place to stay with a great view of the sea. We loved it and felt relaxed as it was quiet and very cozy and very nicely decorated with modern comforts
We rented the cottage for a week in July and it was a wonderful retreat! The area of Malpeque is quiet and peaceful and a good location as a home base. Besides being a 5 minute walk to Cabot Provincial Park and a wharf with a great little restaurant, there were also many attractions within a close drive that we were able to take many day trips and still come back to enjoy the evenings in the cottage. The owners provided details of many options for local entertainment and excursion which we appreciated since we are not from the area.
The owners took care of every detail to make it easy to start enjoying our vacation right away. We were given excellent directions to find the cottage and get into it. The cottage was clean and beautifully decorated with an amazing view of the ocean. The beds were extremely comfortable and we loved having three bedrooms so that our two children could each have their own bedroom. The screened porch was amazing. It was an oasis by itself! We also appreciated having laundry in the cottage, especially when you are flying with four people and are able to pack half the clothes. The little details of having laundry detergent available, plenty of paper towel and toilet paper etc made it a stress free stay.
If we ever visit PEI again, we would definitely choose this cottage again and would not hesitate in recommending that anyone else stay there.
The Island Oasis was beautiful!!! The cottage is located at the end of a quite lane overlooking breathtaking scenery. The modern open concept cottage was spotless upon arrival and featured a full service kitchen with all good quality appliances. The washer and dryer were a great asset! The screened in deck was a great place to sit in the evening to talk about our day. The spacious deck was lovely with nice loungers to relax on and enjoy the beautiful views.
The cottage is located in Malpeque, near beautiful Cabot beach. It is a quiet area away from the hustle and bustle, but not far from local attractions and some great restaurants. Two of our favorites were the Sou West in New London and the Preserve Restaurant in New Glasgow.
We had an amazing vacation and I would give the Island Oasis 5 stars!
The Island Oasis was the perfect getaway for my friends and I. A beautiful location just a few minutes walk away from Malpeque Harbour and Cabot Beach, the later a perfect place to spend time just walking around. The cottage itself was clean and comfortable and I can't say enough about the patio where I spent every morning eating breakfast and reading. Oh, and the beds...so comfortable. It's also conveniently located just off a main highway that takes you just about every place you want to go. My friends and I enjoyed our stay at your cottage - it was just what we needed to unwind. I'll recommend the Island Oasis to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in PEI.
