About the host
Hosted by Thomas Atkins
We have lived most of our lives in the beautiful 'Garden of England ' Kent countryside. Our working lives have been busy, hectic at times, but always rewarding. Many years ago we 'discovered' France and have been coming back ever since. As our children grew and had children of their own we had dreams of moving to France permanently, finally taking the plunge and moving here to enjoy the wonderful life it offers us. We enjoy meeting people and running a holiday rental business brings a whole new dimension to our lives. Having visitors from all over the world is a real pleasure for us and our aim is to give all of our guests the best experience we can and have fun in the process.
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with the Moulin the first time we saw it. The building and the gardens were in a very dilapidated state but the grandeur, character and history of the house shone through and with the magic of the river as it meandered through the grounds, it seemed to speak to us, telling us we had to buy it. It has never lost its charm and appeal and now, with the renovations complete, it is our joy to share this wonderful property with others who also appreciate what history and nature it bestows..
What makes this property unique
The sound of running water, the birdsong, the aquatic wildlife, the countryside, the local people all combine into one. All this and just a short walk to our historical town. The location is excellent. Travel in any direction on the quiet country roads to everything a good holiday demands. Whatever your interests are you will find it close by. See for yourself-you will not be disappointed.
