When we first pulled up, the yard landscape wasn't much to look at at first which made me a little nervous. Once we went inside it was cozy, comfortable and very inviting. Charming place for my family and plenty of room. Absolutely worth it, and recommend for a large family and anyone looking for a quiet vacation. Note, this is a retreat lodge with other lodging close by on the property however we were the only occupants during our entire week stay which was fantastic. Plenty of parking, with a nearby pool, basketball and volleyball court which the kids loved. We very much enjoyed our stay!!!
Overall, the property was great for family reunions or large families. It was clean and well taken care of. It is 15 minutes away from town. We were given detailed instructions to the home. I must warn others, cell services in limited ( primarily non-existent). Wifi was very spotty.
The house has lots more room than expected. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to prepare meals. The caretaker met us upon arrival and explained where everything was located and gave us some tips on most recommended eating establishments and activities in the area. Would definitely stay there again. Good property for large families or 3-4 couples.
The house had everything we needed located in the foothills. The house was very clean, well stocked, large gas grill, great kitchen, and lots of places to hike and explore. It was a short drive to Santa Fe that offers lots of activities. Bandelier national park and the Los Alamos museum were 1.5 hours away and a must see. We will definitely stay there again!!!
We could not have been more pleased with every aspect of our stay at Bishop's Ridge Retreat House. Not only did Amy call me personally two weeks before our arrival to finalize details and answer any questions, she met us at the house for a walk through prior to our stay. She also took the time to open the gate to the lower property so that we could take the kids sledding along the road. All linens, dishes, pots and pans, etc., were clean and abundant. The space heaters provided individual climate control in the smaller bedrooms, and the thermostat in the master kept the rooms toasty warm. The Plaza was convenient enough for those who wanted to see the sights and visit museums. A quick meal at Harry's Roadhouse explained the popularity of the restaurant. Thanks again, Amy. We definitely plan to return!
