About Owner/Manager

This is a custom built home, with as many details thought out as possible. It is our 2nd home, and we treat it as our own, maintaining it and cleaning it to our preferences. We do all the cleaning ourselves, to ensure it is kept up to the utmost standards. Our hope is that all our guests are able to enjoy and appreciate our home as much as we do.

Owner/Manager purchased this house in 2010

Why Owner/Manager chose Eagle Bay

This property had the lakefront, view and location that we wanted. The location is somewhat remote, with power going in only a few years ago. We liked that it was a bit more out of the way, and yet perfectly central on the Shuswap, situated at the Narrows - where all the lake's arms connect.

What makes this house unique

The location of this property is completely central on Shuswap Lake - near the Narrows, where all the lake arms meet.

There is also a Pontoon Boat available to rent by day or week - double decker with a slide.

The house is on the water, situated close to Cinnamous Narrows. There is a provincial park nearby with picnic tables, a floating store and floating bar/restaurant, where fuel is also available. There are several areas of interest nearby - we like the hike in to Hunakwa Lake from the end of Ansty Arm - its a pretty narrow, hidden path, but beautiful scenery. As well, there is the falls nearby at the start of Seymour Arm for viewing, and Albas Falls near the end of Seymour Arm(another stellar hike!). We also enjoy the nearby public beach in Ansty Arm, and the further one at the end of Seymour Arm(great for little ones!). You are at the centre of the lake - it is a reasonable boat ride to Sicamous, Mara Lake, Herald Park Falls & Salmon Arm, or you can boat the other way to Copper Island(another good hiking trail), Blind Bay and Scotch Creek. There is limited cell service(we have a booster), but no internet at this time.

Absolutely stunning!

If you're looking for an exceptionally beautiful home in a very private location this is it. We spent 2 weeks at Shelley and Kevin's Lake Home. The home is very well appointed and has everything you could possibly think of needing. The weather was perfect...we only had one cooler day so we spent very little time indoors. Most of our time was spent on the water kayaking and paddleboarding. Its a short paddle to the Provincial Park where there are a couple of hikes and the floating store. We loved having our morning coffee out on the peaceful! I was a concerned about the drive it but had no problems negotiating the last kilometer. We would highly recommend the Lake Home if you are looking to get away from it all in an amazing setting...we will definitely return.

Relaxation at it's finest!!

  • 5 of 5

We were in awe when we entered this gorgeous home right on Shuswap Lake. The immediate view upon entry was stunning. The bedrooms were clean and modern, although the beds were a bit small for the four teenage girls. It was like a hotel, bottled water on the dresser, lovely sheets and white duvet (very clean). Washrooms were very modern and clean. Then we descended down the stairs to the main living space including living room, dining table and beautiful kitchen with all it's amenities. A coffee maker and a Tassimo!! The beautiful tree stump holding up the kitchen granite counter was amazing. Love the foosball table too!

On the third floor we were amazed to see a ping pong/pool table and a huge theatre room complete with black out curtains, surround sound and huge comfortable chairs. We used this room a few evenings along with the popcorn maker.

The stairs to the dock, while steep, did give us a bit of daily exercise (though not recommended for small children or elderly). The dock was big enough so that we didn't miss a beach. The girls loved laying out there during the day when we weren't out on the boat.

This house was definitely built well with no expense spared. We will definitely come back.

ps the last kilometer in is definitely 4x4 ONLY.

A vacation house where you need nothing but food, drink, & good company!!

  • 5 of 5

This place has it all! Great location, amazing view, more supplied activities than you can utilize in a week, inside and out, you will not run out of things to do. Very gorgeous modern interior, many steep steps to work off all that "vacation food"! House is stocked with things you'd never expect, for your use. The last leg of the road in and drive way is no joke, but that's what also made this place great. Only thing missing would be a waterslide from the top deck to the lake ;), don't know if it's in the cards, but that'd be awesome! The owners of the property are great and very easy to work with! 6 adults and 3 small children, had a great time and plan to be back!

Stunning Home

  • 5 of 5

My family and I just stayed here for the last week. It is a very beautiful home with a million dollar view!

Love that it is right at the water. There are LOTS of stairs and some are quite steep. Not good for little children. Beautiful octagon dock with lots of room.

You do need a 4x4 to get to the cabin as it is not a maintained service road.

Yes I would stay here again as it is a beautiful place.

Thank you for opening your beach home to us!

Very nice house, beautiful setting

  • 4 of 5

We spent a week here, and due to the really bad weather, we did get to utilize the house a great deal. So ....

Getting there....

Getting there was rough. The drive to Shuswap was typical, done it many times, however, the directions to the house itself were tough. It's down a FSR where GPS no longer exists, so you're either guessing, or using a map, therefore you're guessing. There are no house numbers, nor anything really distinguishing about the driveways to indicate which is which, so I had to go out and retrieve people multiple times, as the arrivals were staggered there was just no way to give directions. I originally found the house by divine intervention or something.

There is literally no car access to the house, it is 4x4 access only. So no problem for a few of us, but we did have to make 2 trips out to ferry people in that had arrived in cars. With that said, the road is very rough, so it's a really long slow drive out to go get further supplies.

The house: The house is beautiful. New build, all the luxuries you would expect for the price point, central air, heated floors, all appliances and dishes you need, it is very, very well appointed.

The sleeping arrangements weren't great - the one room with 2 beds were children's beds with head and foot boards, and unfortunately we had two tall guys that had to try to sleep there. After the first night, one slept on the couch and the other outside in a tent ... not what you would expect for the price point.... the house can comfortably sleep two adults each with a room and 2 children sharing a room. You could have couples in the two bedrooms, but the beds seemed small for a couple. In all honesty, it was me that found this house, and I did find myself embarrassed nightly regarding the sleeping arrangements. My recommendation would be at a minimum to add a hide-a-bed in the couch.

Due to the weather, we spent a lot of time in the theater room watching movies - not much to say about that room other than it was awesome .... this saved our whole trip as we couldn't get out on the boat - simply an awesome room with great equipment and incredible seating .... awesome - did I say that yet??

Final thoughts, like I said, well appointed, nice and new, felt very clean. This house is "out there". If you want to be left alone, with piece and quiet, it's awesome (if you have a truck). If you are looking for something more socially situated this is definitely not the house for you.

Great Place to Stay!!

  • 5 of 5

We were thrilled with our stay at Kevin and Shelley's vacation home. The home is beautiful and furnished with everything you could possibly need. We didn't have the greatest weather but the abundance of activities provided in the house kept us busy during the rainy days. Is was awesome having a dryer in the house so we could throw all the wet towels in after a day on the lake. The foosball table, ping pong and especially the mini casino were all a hit and we used the theatre room on the cold rainy days. The kitchen had everything you could need and there was so much space everywhere. Its a great location and is very central to everything on the lake. We did need 4WD to get out on the dirt road after all the rain we had but that was a minor issue in the scheme of things. We had an absolute blast!! We hope to be back next summer!!
