Great welcome and five star stay.
Best welcome ever with fresh baked bread and home made jam as well as wine and fruit. Owners couldn't have been more helpful. Lovely touches with spa toiletries provided with towels. Outdoor space great and indoors modern with everything you could need. Good location with villages nearby with pub and shop. Berwick easy to get to. Local walk to the standing stones well worth it.

Home from home rental
Exceptionally well presented cottage fitted and furnished to the highest standard. We were greeted by the hosts with all necessities to start our holiday. A very special touch was the home baked bread and pot of jam and a supply of tea coffee and sugar and a bottle of wine. The information folder told us all we needed to know about the area and the bookcase was full of books games and info on places to visit. Well done Martin and Sally

Wonderful place to stay
I had never stayed in this part of the country before. I stayed with my son for a month and will be back. The Haven is a fabulous place to to stay. When we arrived the place was spotless and I mean spotless. There is everything you need. Due to the circumstances we catered for ourselves for every meal. All the necessary equipment is supplied. All equipment and white goods are a very high standard which helps enormously. Whole range of DVD's etc.. We did not need to use the wood burner as the heating is very efficient. My son has never slept so well in his life in the extremely comfortable beds with 'proper' duvets and sheets. We walked pretty much every day. Fantastic river walks are close by - 3 miles. The wide open beaches only a bit further in Cheswick. We did not have cycles but cycle route signs abound on the very quiet local roads. The Cheviots are visible and not far away. I have spent a lot of time over the years on the west coast of Scotland. Lake District, Nth Wales, Peak District and this area easily rivals those and for being away from the masses wins hands down. So don't let too many people know cos we will be back. Last mention to Martin who was very helpful on the rare occasion we needed anything. Cheers J
