About this property

Gorgeous cosy Fisherman's cottage in Seahouses, Northumberland

Traditional Fisherman's cottage set in a lovely, quiet cobbled square very close to the harbour and beach. Recently renovated to a very high standard. The cottage has original stone walls in the kitchen and living room. Lovely large kitchen for all of the family. It has 3 bedrooms (1 double, 1 bunk bed with full size single beds and 1 twin room with 2 single beds). It benefits from wifi and net flix. Parking space for 1 car directly outside the cottage. Dogs allowed.
Out of season/non-major holiday periods, we accept booking for the following dates: Friday to Monday (3 nights) or Monday to Fridays (4 nights). The daily rates have been worked out on this basis. However, if you need greater flexibility, hopefully we can accommodate you and work out a price based on a mix of weekend and week day rates. If you would like to stay for 1 week or longer out of season/non-major holidays, please enquire about the price because we will apply a generous discount - we will not merely add the mid-week and weekend price together. During holiday periods, the price is based on staying 1 full week (Saturday to Saturday) and is therefore already discounted from the daily rates. Thank you.

Beautiful, well equipped home from home
We have just returned from a week-long stay in this lovely location. It is situated just around the corner from the harbour and had everything we needed for a relaxing and peaceful getaway. My only criticism would be that it advertised a DVD player (and I had brought along several DVDs which we were looking forward to watching) and, although there was indeed a player, it had the wrong connection for the TV and we were therefore unable to use it. Otherwise a wonderful stay. Thank You.

Great Location and facilities?
No towels except 1 hand towel. No Netflix, no BBC 1 except through iPlayer. Very noisy as a family with 3 children and a dog in accommodation above.

Pleasant stay
Overall a pleasant stay. Great location for easy walk into Seahouses which has some lovely bars and restaurants and nice little shops. Close to the coastal path walk and harbour. Property overall including linen and bedding were all very clean and comfortable. No issues with wifi and owner was very responsive to messages. My only wee negative was that crockery and cutlery wasn’t very clean so had to wash it all when we arrived. With such a large kitchen shame there isn’t a dishwasher.

Pleasant stay
Pleasant stay. Clean house and a good location. Puffin and seal cruise is a must. Beach is walkable. Recommend the Black Swan nearby for food and also the potted lobster in Bamburgh. Need to book well in advance for the Potted Lobster! The seafood van between Seahouses and Bamburgh is great too.

My husband and I purchased the cottage in 2014 and we started to holiday let it in August 2015. The cottage required complete renovation and this has been carried out to a high standard. We enjoy using the cottage ourselves and therefore wanted to make it feel home from home. We have two young boys, Aaron (12) and Isaac (10) who love the sea, to swim in the harbour and surf. Seahouses is a gorgeous and relaxing place, and as a family we adore it.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with this cottage because of its location - it is set in an old cobbled square very near to the harbour. The cottage is about 160 years old and full of character.

What makes this property unique

The unique benefits of the cottage are the location. It is very close to the harbour, small village shops, pubs and restaurants.
