Charming house and village
After a week in the turbulent region of Siena, we arrived in Prata and liked the calm and original atmosphere of the mountain village. We discovered small shops, bar and restaurant so we did not necessarily had to leave the place. The owners, Mario and Odette were very friendly. Mario gave us a lot of good ideas what to visit in the surrounding. Odette opened her well equipped house for us. We felt very welcome, even with our dog. The house is very nice with a lot of stairs that allows privacy. The view from the big terasse is overwhelming. Thank you for the lovely stay.

Why they chose this property

This property belonged to my family for the last 170 years. The house is documented since 1650, and stands right on the place of the outer walls of the medieval castle were in the XII-XIII century.
Since the castle dominated the place, a magnificent view can be enjoyed, encompassing most of the Tuscan archipelago (the Islands of Elba, Giglio, Montecristo, the Argentario promontory) and, when visibility is good, even the French island of Corsica.

What makes this property unique

Splendid views and green valleys (with very few houses) reaching down to sea.
