"inforamtion": Luana Development Parters LP will be building 72 townhomes in the area. The work will be in the empty grass field on the east side of Honua Kai (non-ocean side) beyond the path that circles the bowl between the two towers. These are 2 story townhomes. A fence will be constructed to limit dust and views of the work. Construction starts on Feb 5, 2018.

This construction does not affect this condo.

Konea #543 is one of the finest, larger 2 bedroom condos in the resort. This 5th floor condo offers gorgeous ocean views as well as beautiful view of the grounds and pools. The sunsets are spectacular year round. Watch whales frolic in season directly from the lanai and condo.

Excellent accommodation and great service!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Unit 543 in Honua Kai's Konea Tower. It's a first class unit and extremely well furnished. The kitchen is kitted out perfectly for cooking. The "beach closet" includes everything from beach chairs to an umbrella to boogie boards. The owner's agent, Kalea, was extremely helpful with showing us around and setting up dinner reservations. The beds are comfortable with good mattresses and high quality linens. The view from the balcony was beautiful and we enjoyed sitting on the lanai every morning with our coffee. Everything we could have needed was provided. Highly recommend this property and this unit in particular. Honua Kai has great amenities and we spent a lot of time in the pool with our family. Poolside service was excellent.

Another great vacation!

This was our third stay at this resort and second in this unit. I don't anything to add to my previous review except once again we very much enjoyed this trip and we will be back. Highly recommend this unit and booking with this property manager - Fereshteh was friendly and helpful to deal with as always.

Beware of hidden fees

The property is great, we stayed at the same resort last year thru a different management company.

This particular owner was a nightmare to work with. She wouldn't clarify her fees and then said I was rude and bullying her for asking.

I most definitely recommend this resort, just with a different property owner.

This unit also has mold and rust on the washing machine. Per her agreement I advised right away, which she wanted to send a representative to look at it. The last think I want on my expensive vacation is someone

Interrupting it to look at the washer.

Again, there are many other management companies that are much easier and not so picky to work worth.

Read her lease carefully!! She charges for everything!'

Owner's Response: As we corresponded many times prior to your booking and arrival, I was really disappointed to see your review. I did understand that you were unhappy with some of the fees that were being charged and as I explained prior to your booking that VRBO charges a service fee and the other charges were for Parking/amenity fees and a convenience fee for paying other then check or echeck. Also, State of Hawaii does charge taxes and guests always pay the taxes. I honestly expected you to take me up on my offer to cancel. Since I did not hear back from you until after you checked in I figured all was well. I did receive your email 3 days into your stay with complaints/issues and I offered to come by to check but did not hear back from you. I check all condos before guest arrives to make sure everything is good condition. My goal is make sure my guests have the best vacation experience and this starts by having a great place to stay. I am sorry that your stay was not as you had hoped.

Our stay in Maui was fantastic. This unit is HUGE and the ocean view was 100% worth it. The unit is conveniently located near the elevator and parking garage making it fast and easy to get in and out. Using the kitchen helped us save money on food - dining out can be very expensive. We ate breakfast on the balcony every day and watched the sun rise. The pools are very nice, and the beach was not only beautiful but not at all crowded. The chairs and umbrella in the front closet were perfect for a quiet day at the beach. We had no problems with crowds or noise. We would definitely stay here again.

family trip to Maui

perfect set up for family of 4. pools were a bit crowded and it was difficult to get 4 chairs together. towel machine in lobby was a very good idea. drink service was slow at the pool. beach is nice but be careful of coral, saw several with very bad cuts on their feet. nice unit but carpet showing some wear and tear.

This is a beautiful home (stress home as it is taken care of as a home, not seemingly a rental). The views from the lanai are great and the surrounding area is very accommodating. The overall complex is very nice with multiple pools and pool side service. This specific condo is set up well and with two couples you have all the privacy you want and all the togetherness you want. Would highly recommend and will be coming back.
