About this property

Tifton, GA - Shalom House B&B - Cabin in Peaceful Setting

IF YOU NEED TO TRAVEL DURING THIS TIME consider this stand alone - no crowds around - cabin. It's your safest bet as we are sanitizing and disinfecting to keep you safe. We have discontinued breakfasts at this time.

This 800+ square foot cabin is located in rural south Georgia away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Fully furnished, all you need is to get here. Fire pit, gas grill, pool table, and catch and release fishing are awaiting your arrival. Sit on the swing under the elm trees and enjoy watching the barn yard animals. It's an easy drive to town and restaurants and small town shopping. Golfing and historic museum close by. An easy drive to Moultrie for events at Spence Field, or Adel for the motor speedway events.
For pet owners, please communicate with us first before assuming your pet is a good fit for us. We generally only take small to mid-size dogs. Big dogs and their toenails are pretty hard on our floor!

Please note that your pet is not automatically accepted. We will ask a few questions first to see if your pet is suitable for our place. Then if accepted there is a pet fee of $25 per pet. Please contact us first if you have a pet you wish to get accepted.

Check in is after 3 PM, Monday-Saturday. SUNDAY check in is after 4 PM. (We needed a little more time after church). New check out time is 11 AM.

Our yard is a little controlled, a little wild, and a little magical. That's why the elves came!

Big Win for Teens!
This lovely cabin was even better than pictured. I visited for a quick overnight between Florida and TN with my husband and two kids (ages 10 & 13). We had so much fun! We spent the evening fishing (rustic poles provided), hanging with the animals, and playing pool. Signing in to our Netflix & Prime accounts on the smart tv was a breeze, and the kids loved the loft. There was an informational binder available on the counter right when we walked in the door which answered all questions we possibly could have imagined. The property was gorgeous and the hosts extremely accommodating. We would return in a heartbeat. Thank you!

Excellent
Perfect for a family! Kitchen was well stocked and great size! Plenty of sleeping space for a family, plus the pool table was fun! The property is beautiful and peaceful. We absolutely loved the pond. The highlight is definitely the goats! Would highly recommend this property. Wish we had more time to stay!

Hank and Margaret have been taking care of travelers for over ten years now. With a clear understanding of 'southern hospitality' we want to make you feel at home as quick as a wink. Both of us are ordained ministers with a small church in town. Now for the grand kids, they won't bother you except you may see them as Papa heads to the barn to feed the goats and chickens and gather the eggs. Seems like being a grand parent became natural in just a few short days of the first one's arrival! Being as we keep them most days, you can enjoy the grand kids too at times.

Why they chose this property

When we remodeled a few years ago, we made a nice pond house for fish fries, children's parties, etc. Then the kids all scooted away to college and careers leaving us with not just an empty house, but an empty pond house too! It is just too peaceful and comffy to let it sit idle so we decided to offer it for others to enjoy. Our guests are always glad they find us. You will be glad too.

What makes this property unique

If it's peace and quiet you are after, look no farther. The swing under the trees is pretty much a no brainer. Read a book, feed a goat your leftovers, pet a spoiled cat, catch a fish, watch the ducks and Charlie the donkey, or just let the breeze blow through your hair. This is the place for you.
