The Bungalette "Garage Apartment" was once a mechanics garage which was built in front of a livery stable. Early motorized cars would pull up for service from the first "full service" station located in Eureka Springs. Gas was only a few coins per gallon when this station opened, and it is amazing to relax here and imagine the early automobiles that must have come in for all sorts of repairs.
The Bungalette is a bright and sunny queen studio situated on the upper Historic Loop in Eureka Springs. Guests can walk to the nearby art galleries and restaurants, or enjoy the secluded patio space that makes this studio the perfect retreat. A large open kitchenette and unique patio create an indoor/outdoor living experience.
On-street parking available directly in front of unit. There are multiple trolley stops along the street. Downtown is only 3 blocks down the hill. There are numerous cab companies in town, so enjoy the walk downhill through town and if you find your legs weary after a day of shopping and dining, catch a cab home.
The Bungalette shares its outdoor patio with the Bungalow next door. Although, there is plenty of shared deck space.
The Bungalow next door is larger with a living room and an extra-large bedroom. King Bed and a full kitchen - Rent both the Bungalow and Bungalette and receive 15% off both units. (request details).
Note: This studio does not have WiFi.
My husband and I just returned from our weekend get away! What a wonderful property. When we opened the doors, we were not disappointed. Everything was clean and well maintained. Our first night, we were unable to get the cable working, made a phone call and got a quick response. The nice young man was unable to fix the issue but it was resolved by the next day. (It must have been a cable company issue.) It's hard to narrow down what we enjoyed the most: the decor...the location to downtown...the new deck...trolley stop one block down...the comfy bed...or maybe Ermilio's right down the street! One suggestion is definitely follow the directions which are emailed to you because plugging it into your GPS will not get you to the right location! I would highly recommend this property and plan on staying here again on our next visit to Eureka.
Very clean, super comfy bed, close to downtown but quiet at night. We loved it and will definitely be back.
Just enough room for a couple. Very comfy and clean.
We had a hard time enjoying the Bungalette itself with hard chairs, a too tiny shower and poorly designed bathroom. If your tired from a day of tourism last thing you need are chairs that stab you because the wicker is so broken and hard to sit in even for a short time; take a shower that you can't fit in (I'm 65" 150lbs) and when you lather up you hit the knobs and your head on the spigot = 2 Stars! Fantastic parking (literally in front of the door) and location with 5 min walk to all shops and restaurants, 1 min to Emilio's great Italian and 2 min to Rogue's Tavern = 5 Stars. Could be great with remodeling and furniture up grade. If you don't care about the inside then this is the place for you.
Small but not too small, private, and lovely! It was a great vacation!
This is a great and cute location for a couple. Our friends stayed next door so we enjoyed the shared patio. We selected to eat at local establishments, however, kitchen was adequate for those choosing to prepare a meal.
Suggestions- quick refrigerator repair to elevate occasional noise and consider providing a "quick guide" for your guests of local establishments w/I minutes of the property including closest store (Oscars for breakfast is great example),
We will recommend this location and hope to visit Eureka again!
