This amazing 1-bedroom home is located on the ground floor tucked away in a secluded area of Honua Kai Resort. It sits just behind an oceanfront 3-bedroom condo making it the closest 1-bedroom to the beach. Lush lawn and tropical landscaping border the 230 sf lanai creating a large private outdoor-living space. You’ll appreciate being able to walk from your lanai to beach, pools, hot tubs and BBQs. No waiting for elevators!

Once inside, you will be welcomed into the spacious 780 sf. floor plan and 11 ft high ceilings. Enjoy the convenience of a full kitchen equipped with Bosch appliances, Vitamix blender and granite counter tops; an over-sized bathroom with a soaking tub, separate shower, and double vanity; a King size bed and Queen sleeper sofa and large Flat Screen HD TV’s.

Honua Kai is 38-acres of beautifully landscaped beach front property located on the world famous Kaanapali beach. Nice unit ground floor , away from the noise of center units . Screen to cover for bugs were locked and unable to use , don’t understand why on the big sliding doors . The unit is nice but maybe could use a new carpet . Bottom line very close to ocean and pool , and very private .

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. We too think our condo location is ideal. The nana door screens are locked because they are very fragile and children often break them. A call or text to our property manager and he could have given you the code to unlock the screens. I apologize that information was not relayed to you.

Awesome accommodations for a small family- We loved it!

I stayed at Sue's Hona Kai condo last week with my (almost) 2 year old and husband. We had a really great time! This condo is a terrific value for the area. Sue and her property manager Monty were very helpful for all of our needs and requests and made the booking and checking in experience seamless.

We loved spending time on the property. Due to the location of this condo, it's quiet and quite private considering you are in a large busy complex. We loved being able to walk out the back lanai door to access the pool, beach and parking lot without walking through the condo building maze. There were several pools and hot tubs, including one pool with a waterfall, slide and several shallow options for little one. There was a great restaurant on property as well as a small market for last minute needs. There was also restaurant options at various price points within walking and short driving distances, and a big supermarket right across the parking lot. My kiddo loved saying hello to the koi in the pond and playing on the sandy beach (which has nice shady trees and a more mellow break if you walk a bit to the left of the condo). The condo was clean, well kept, decorated nicely and included beach towels, sand toys, an umbrella, cooler and other kiddo items to make our stay super comfortable!

We loved exploring the area and really enjoyed Old Lahaina town (10 min drive), kid-friendly Napili beach and Baby beach (10-15 min each), the Drums of the Pacific luau (super close and so much fun for all of us), and breakfast at Slappy Cakes (a make-your-own pancake house within walking distance). We were initially worried that the construction on property would be a hinderance, but it's completely walled off via a big fence and was not audible at all. I'm not sure if that was due to the current stage of construction, but either way, it's far enough from the condo that I don't think it's a major concern for future renters.

We typically prefer to rent a house vs a condo via VRBO, but opted for this option in order to have a more "all inclusive" experience while in Maui with our toddler. I think we made a great choice and would absolutely do it again. It made things so much easier and it was fun to have AC, wonderful pool and beach options, as well as accessibility to food and entertainment close by. I highly recommend this option to other small families looking for the same thing.

Fantastic unit in a wonderful area

Truly one of the best vacations I have ever had. Sue and Monty were a pleasure to deal with and answered any questions or concerns I had promptly. The unit was clean and well-furnished with just about everything you need including dishes, utensils, paper, towels, shampoos/conditioners, swim toys/gear and even detergent for dishes and clothes. It’s nice to be able to pack lighter since I could just wash what I had. In the event that you need something not available in the room already, there are on-premise convenience shops or, even better, a Times market grocery store across the street from the property. That was great for picking up breakfast foods, snacks and some of that great Hawaiian coffee for the morning.

The unit was just steps away from the pools and bbq area, and a few more steps away from the beaches. The beach directly outside is great for snorkeling with clear waters and plenty of coral - or you could walk a little further down the beach along the neighboring resorts if you want more of a sandy beach. There are also a few inexpensive food options just outside the property as well if you get bored of Duke’s or making your own stuff. I can’t wait to make another trip to the Ka’anapali area again and would recommend this unit to anyone.

First time to Hawaii

The condo, the owner, and Monty we all awesome! DO NOT use the Honua Kai Concierge to book any activities. They are obviously on commission. If you compare prices against booking these yourself everything cost more $$$$

Great condo close to pool, Dukes and beach

We had a great experience traveling with our 2 month old infant and our 3 year old. The condo had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and fun. We live the resort, there were so many things to do and lots within walking distance. We would love to come back and definitely recommend this lovely place!
