Come to the Star Valley Ranch and acquaint yourself with the beauty and wonder of the area. Enjoy your home base in our beautiful log cabin house which has air conditioning, vaulted ceilings with ceiling fans, an open floor plan, floor to ceiling windows and a spacious wrap around deck that faces the 12th green of the Cedar Creek Golf Course. We are located on 0.5 acre lot of green grass. Enjoy front row seating for spectacular sunsets from the patio. Comfortable patio furniture makes it easy to spend time out of doors. Our elevation is 6,000', our air is clean, the stars twinkle at night, the summer humidity is low and not a mosquito will bother you.

Our home has two bedrooms. The first is on the main floor with a queen bed and the second is in the loft with a king bed. We have a reading/sitting area in the loft. For additional sleeping, our leather sofa extends to make a queen bed and for extra guests we have two roll-a-way twin beds. For a baby we have a pack and play. All necessary bedding and linens are provided. The main floor has a full bath with a shower and a jetted tub for relaxation. The loft bathroom has a tub/shower. It also has a magnified lighted makeup mirror and two sinks.

You will find all you need in our kitchen for food preparation. It is well stocked. There is a gas grill for your grilling needs. The kitchen/dining room/living room are the hubs of activity. Our long kitchen counter provides extra space for projects, research, cooking and map inspection. Our dining room table with leaves seats eight. For entertainment we have Wi-Fi, a flat screen HDTV with Satellite hook up, a DVD player, a Bose radio and Sirius radio access. Most cell phones using major carriers get reception in our area.

The laundry room is on the main floor and conveniently located in the mud room by the back door. It's a great place for all those extra items. We also have a basement for storage if you need the extra space.

Our driveway is stone and we have ample space for parking. We are on a cul-de-sac and traffic is not an issue.

In addition to having a wonderful, cozy and comfortable home, we have easy access for day trips to amazing places near and far. The drive through the Snake River Canyon is spectacular. Jackson has its own old historic cow town allure for sure. Don't miss the famous Elk Arches, the shoot out on the town square in the summer, a rodeo at the fairgrounds or a look about town. One of my favorite views of the Grand Tetons is north of Jackson at the first view point turn out. Majestic! The tram ride from Jackson Hole Mountain Resort to the top of the mountain is a trip to remember and while you're there order the waffles in the snack shop. If you visit in the winter and like to ski, a day on the mountain at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is a must do. Our National Parks offer wonderful walking trails with easy access. All of these places are one hour from our home. Yellowstone Park is two hours away. It's amazing.

Locally we have an outdoor paradise. If you like activities with water then the Snake River, Grey's River and the Palisades reservoir can meet all of your fishing and recreational wishes. We also have world class fishing on the Salt River, three miles down the road. Seasonally, hunting is abundant and very popular. There are miles of trails for hiking, horseback riding and motorized vehicles all close to home. These same trails can be used in the winter for snowmobiling. Wonders of nature can be found in Afton where the Intermittent Springs are located.

You can quickly see the abundance of activities available to you. Some are as simple as a walk along a stream or a bench sit to view the scenery. We have folders of information for you to use so you can decide what would be fun to do. We love it all and without doubt it's also relaxing to stay not too busy! Beauty is free and much of what we love has no admittance charge. We have an easy lifestyle here and it's commonly called 'Valley Time'. We hope you give it a try.

About Greg and Suzanne Nelson

We live in Wisconsin and purchased our lovely vacation home to be closer to family. We love the out of doors for summer and winter sports. Wyoming has much to offer in beauty, adventure, solitude and recreation. We feel very much at home here. We have retired, of sorts and truly love mixing Wyoming into our life style.

The Star Valley is beautiful and being on a golf course is the extra that makes it better. We love the dark star filled sky at night and the easy pace of the area. We can hike the mountains, ride our bikes, see wildlife, be out of doors without going far from home. Our home is cozy, efficient, very comfortable and the wide porches make outdoor living easy. The view from the full front cathedral windows brings the outside in. Being closer in distance to family is important. We entertain often where we are here so we can guarantee it will work for you also.

Very Nice modern cabin

My family and I enjoyed our three night stay in the Star Valley ranch, the house was well appointed and comfortable. Everything you would want in a golf course fairway side, yet remote Wyoming cabin. Wonderful deck, lots of glass facing the sunset. Everything everyone says is true about the cabin, wonderful place. Dealing with Suzanne was easy.

For someone unfamiliar with Etna WY. this is an hour plus south of Jackson Hole about 50 miles per google maps. Restaurant choices are limited and the grocery stores aren't open on Sunday. Bring your own fun.

Great Cabin with Awesome View

We stayed in this home June of 2017. It was clean and accommodated our family of 6 very well. The neighborhood is quiet, the views are terrific, and there is plenty of room for kids to run around or sit on the deck. It was well furnished and Suzanne was very helpful giving ideas of things to do in the area and helping us arrange our visit. We spent most of our time hiking, horseback riding, and rafting in the Grand Tetons but the drive back and forth is beautiful and a reasonable distance. We found the local grocery stores to be awesome for buying your own food and cooking out. Our family loved the home and location and would use Suzanne again if we return.

This Star Valley rental is perfect in every way.

Our family throughly enjoyed staying in this cabin/home. It is conveniently located and wonderfully decorated. It has ample space for everyone. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, pots and pans, and dishes. It is very child friendly. The owners are great to work with.

Peaceful and quiet.

Enjoyed sitting on the deck. It was nice just to visit with each other. We have been in many VRBO homes. This was the first one that had everything that would be needed. It was well equipped. Thank you, Suzanne and Greg. The restaurants were good. Don't miss the Sunday Supper Club at the Old Yellowstone Garage. Make reservations. Also, liked the Flying Saddle and Yankee Doodle. Beautiful drive through the Bridger National Forest. Jackson Hole is about 45 minutes north. The tram at the Teton Village is amazing over looking the mountains.
