Great location next to the H2O Taxi stand.
A great location with the water taxi stop at the front door providing quick access to the entire inner harbor. The room was clean and comfortable with a refrigerator for our evening wine. The best feature for us was the small deck which allowed smoking (never in the room) without hiking to a nearby street as required with a hotel. A lot of envy from others on the water taxi when they learned where we were staying.

Spectacular Space at a B&B Float Home at Fisherman's Wharf in Victoria,B.C.
The setting for my wife and my mid February Vancouver Island mini vacation was at Fisherman's Wharf on James Bay. Carene's cozy studio float home room was a fun place to stay that was close to all of the events we were participating in (la Boheme at Royal Theatre, pub crawling and shopping in Downtown Victoria, and dining in the Inner Harbour). Most of the venues at Fisherman's Wharf are closed during the winter months, but the water taxis are open for business and a great bargain at $6 per person. And the walk from Carene's float home to the Inner Harbour is short. Carene's place was perfect for the two for us. Warm, cozy and a gentle sway when the weather outside was cold, wet and blustery. Carene's home is nicely decorated with a small fridge and coffee maker and that was all we needed. We felt secure and safe in Carene's float home, especially at night when arriving home late. Carene provided just the right amount of care for us while keeping our place very private. The breakfast portion of the B&B is at a restaurant called Imagine, that is close in proximity to Carene's float home. We had the best lattes and breakfast there we can remember. Great ambiance and warm, friendly staff and proprietors. Storage space on any Float home is at a premium and Carene did her very best to provide as much space as she could. We felt that perhaps some of the cleaning supplies located in the bathroom cabinet could be reallocated and shelved back to a closet that held a vacuum, mops, etc. That would free up some space for my wife's makeup and my shaving kit, instead of living out of a suitcase. All in all, we felt very comfortable and safe under Carene's roof. We can hardly wait to come back when all the venues are open at the wharf and the weather is warm.

Wonderful place!
What a great place to stay in Victoria! It's a pleasant 15 minute walk from the inner harbour, so it's centrally located and just such a unique place to stay. Carene was a lovely host and gave us great tips re. walks and places to eat and then gave us complete privacy. While the wharf was fun and bustling in the daytime, it was nice and quiet at night (and felt safe at all times, including the late-evening walk home from town). The bed was comfortable, the place was very clean and very nicely decorated. The bathroom was of course small, but well-laid out and had a surprisingly spacious shower. Staying at this little gem of a place definitely added charm and fun to an already wonderful trip. Thank you, Carene!
