About this property

White River Retreat Featuring two New King Size Beds

The White River Retreat is a large open concept guesthouse with a split floor plan that provides privacy for its two King Size bedrooms. Our rural, quiet, park like setting is just a few minutes away from the White River in Cotter with quick and easy access to all the areas attractions. Our one level guesthouse has a large yard, abundant deck space, outside grills/smokers and a fully stocked kitchen. We have newly installed Fiber internet with WIFI access and a brand new laundry area with new full size washer and dryer. The circle drive provides ample free parking for your vehicles and boats with water hose outlet and electrical charging available for your boat/battery needs.

This is an awesome like new 1100 square foot guest house that offers a lot on a budgeted price. The great room is huge with several comfortable and clean couches. The back deck is shaded and allows for beautiful back yard views all the way down to the campfire area. The secure deck area also provides a large outdoor padded patio set that seats four at the table and gives you a large outside cooking area with multiple grills and smokers to include a Traeger pellet grill. There are bird feeders throughout the property and we draw in many species of them to include the amazing seasonal hummingbirds that dine at our feeders. Your private circle drive offers shaded, close and easy access to the main entry.

Beautiful Getaway
John and Michelle provided a delightful home for their guests. They greeted me as well as my parents who came to visit from their home nearby. They even had fresh baked cookies waiting for me upon arrival and they were delicious! This was a serene property with beautiful views. The home is very well kept with an extremely comfortable layout. I would recommend this home to any families wanting to come to the area. It is right in the middle of so many amazing places to visit.

Absolutely perfect!
Michelle was the most gracious host! Greeted us as we pulled in and showed us around! There were cookies waiting for us, and we enjoyed the great conversation with them! It was the most quiet place, we loved the scenery, and it was in the perfect spot to fish Cotter and Bull Shoals! Will definitely be back and use John as our guide next time!

Home away from Home
This was the perfect place for our family to stay! It was clean & cozy with plenty of seats. The listed pictures don’t do the living area justice. There are multiple places to sit and be comfortable. We especially loved that there were two king beds instead of the typical full or queen beds. We will definitely be staying there again the next time we visit the area.

About the host

Hosted by John

Host profile image
I am from the Midwest and my beautiful wife Michele is from Southern California. We love to host and are always excited to show off the beauty and assets of this Northwest Arkansas paradise. I am a Christian who professes his faith in Jesus Christ as I contend to finish the race before me. I am involved in serving the youth within Marion County while also teaching Sunday school and Good News Clubs. I run our local After School Program for Church on the Rock.

Why they chose this property

We love this area of Northwest Arkansas because it is in the heart of so many clear lakes, streams, creeks and a national river. It is a natural/national treasure and if you came for the fishing and other water activities you'll stay for the hunting. This property is close to all of these activities and more and right off highway 62/412 with quick access to hwy 178, 14 and the 101. For many, the roads within Marion and Baxter County have become a destination in themselves as Motorcycle and Car clubs from all over North America frequent the winding highways, ferry and beautiful vistas that they expose.

What makes this property unique

This property is like a well manicured park that can be enjoyed from the inside and out. Full, mature shade trees canopy the property and the outside deck and seating areas give you that heart of the Ozarks experience.
