This Rockaway Beach vacation rental is a budget-friendly way to have a fantastic coastal getaway! With an amazing location close to the beach, space for six guests, and all the comforts of home, you will have an unforgettable time here.

Located right in the center of Rockaway Beach, this home is within an easy 10-minute walk of almost every business in town, including restaurants, shops, and a market. Even better, beach access is just a one-minute stroll north at the end of 2nd Street, so you won't have to go far to enjoy a walk on the sand!

As soon as you step into this house you will notice the comfortable atmosphere and the nautical decor. This particular listing is for the Captain's Cottage section of this duplex. You can also rent the other half, the 'Captain's Loft,' or the entirety of the home ,'Captain's Quarters,' if you're traveling with a large group.

Have a seat in the living room and chat with the other visitors, or flip on the TV and watch some cable or use the DVD player and selection of DVDs to have a movie night. In this home you will also have WiFi access, as well as board games and books available for your use. You will even have a private laundry area, which will come in handy if anyone's clothes get a little dirty while playing on the beach or exploring town.

With a full kitchen, the cook in your group will have no trouble preparing dinner here! Complete with all major appliances - even a dishwasher for easy cleanup - and plenty of cooking tools and serviceware, all you need to do is bring your own groceries and whip up some delicious meals. A filling breakfast of eggs and pancakes is a perfect way to fuel up for a morning spent walking on the beach! Just past the kitchen is a dining area with space for six people at the table, so you can all sit down together and enjoy and share a meal together.

A full bathroom has a tub/shower combination, so you can choose between a refreshing shower or a more relaxing bubble bath. This home has two bedrooms: one with a cozy queen-size bed, and the other with two twin beds. In the living room is a fold-out sofabed, so altogether this home can accommodate six guests. This part of the home does not have a garage, but there is space for two cars to park on the street.

Because this home has such a central location, you can easily walk all around town! Spend the morning on the beach, building sand castles, flying kites, beachcombing, and exploring the coastline. When you get hungry, head into town and get some fish and chips at Grumpy's Cafe. After that, spend some time visiting local antique stores and gift shops, then make sure to return to the beach in time to see the marvelous sunset over the ocean.

If you feel like driving to a larger coastal city, wonderful Tillamook is just a quick 20-minute trip south along the highway. There you will have ample restaurants to choose from, as well as a golf course, museums, shops, and of course the famous Tillamook Cheese Factory. Around the area you can also go fishing or crabbing in the Tillamook Bay, take a trip over to the Cape Meares State Park for a gander at the lighthouse, or simply drive around and explore anything that catches your eye.

When you return to Rockaway Beach, have a seat in your comfortable, centrally located Northern Oregon Coast vacation rental and rest up for another day of adventures!

Needs an update
To begin with, the online pictures and description were misleading. The place is old, the furniture and appliances need updating, there's a musty smell throughout, the wash clothes and towels are old, faded and very thin, and you're very skimpy on the amenities. 1 each of soap, shampoo and conditioner (very small items) for 2 people for 3 nights. No kitchen accessories such as aluminum foil, plastic bags, etc. The location leaves a lot to be desired. And, you charge as much as most places, plus you also charge a cleaning fee, yet you ask us to do part of the cleaning for you. Not cool. In all, not a pleasant stay. I would not go back again.

Don't do it!
Our stay at Captain's Cottage was very disappointing to put it mildly. There was the old house smell, the feeling of dirt and dingy when you walked in.The toilet seat was so old and worn out with what looked like a very old brown surface.Anew one would be $20 maybe? The shower curtain liner was moldy on the bottom, probably not washed for years.Bleach is best. The kitchen sink was old dingy and chipped. The silverware drawer had probably never been cleaned out,old grey liners also dingy and dirty. The beds, not fit to sleep in.The queen size was too soft, the twin beds were hard and the pull out sofa bed had a ridge or something in the middle. We borrowed an air mattress from the family we were visiting. The old tired dirty furniture throughout the house looked like it came from Goodwill. The throw pillows also dingy and needed either a washing or dry cleaning. The carpets throughout should be replaced with tile or hardwoods. They also were filthy and looked like they had not been cleaned for YEARS!!!This cottage could be so much more with fresh paint and flooring, maybe white and some blue accents, not old furniture from a thrift store. For spending over $1400 for 6 nights, wow, never again! We have stayed in another Vacasa rental, but this one was bad!It is a shame.

Quaint little cottage
Nice location close to the beach. Not true 2 space parking as we had a boat and ended up having to drop it on the street behind. No hoses or anything to wash sand from our feet or beach toys, so that would have been nice to have. Not sure there was even a spigot outside. No cooking pot for the crab we caught so we borrowed one from the neighbors. Sheets were too small for the bed, so they kept coming off at night. Seems like they could upgrade the appliances and furniture. Musty inside and no way to open a window. Good space for someone just wanting a weekend getaway. A block away from the beach so good proximity to that as well as walking distance to shops and restaurants. Everything closes in this town early so if you want dinner go before 7pm.
