COVID-19 INFORMATION & SAFETY
We’re Sanitizing Even What You Don't See
The check-in time of our cabins will be extended to allow us to use our new equipment to air out each cabin between guests and sanitize what you see and don't see.

Whatever Comes Next, We're Thinking About It Today
We’re closely monitoring the NY State Governor’s guidance. Our operations will undoubtedly change and we appreciate your patience and consideration in advance.

Our Expectations of Guests
Taking Care
We are a small family business simply trying to navigate what the new normal is while also trying to maintain the health of our guests and ourselves. We expect that our guests have taken great care and precaution, as we have, to self-quarantine and social distance. We know the Adirondacks is beloved to many which is why we’re opening our doors in a limited way. We will welcome guests who have self-quarantined prior to arrival for 14 days and who are feeling well and healthy. We expect our guests to be honest - that they have not come into contact with anyone that has had active COVID-19. Our cabins host 8 or fewer people. Only one cabin will be rented to each party. We will disallow congregating in groups of more than 10. This restriction may ease later in the summer. If you do not feel you can meet these expectations, please cancel your reservation.

Oct.6-9 stay at Camp Victor
Generally it was as I expected. The cabin size was as listed. The lighting inside was not as bright as I would have liked, as we were inside lot. Unfortunately the weather was not good so we did not spend any time outside, nor did we use the outside grill. Both experiences would have added to our time there. I did discuss with Marjorie the difficulty we had in reading the temperatures on the oven dial (they are worn off). Also there was some dispute (!) not knowing if the stove flue was open or closed. Something to indicate this would have helped.

Four fishermen friends
Nice old cabin with lots of charm! The decor is as you would expect for an older cabin but we don’t care about that. Has a dock for the boat and easy passage from cabin to dock. The owner was charming and helpful.

Nice cabin and owners, but wanted the lake closer
After staying in a different cabin on this property six years ago (Camp Adelle), we were slightly disappointed that we could barely see the lake from the cabin this time (Camp Victor). The dock was a bit of a walk downhill and away from the cabin, and our kids couldn't go wading in the water there (it had lots of deep muck that was hard even for adults to walk through). They had fun fishing there, and I think it would've been fine for boating. The cabin itself was nice, so it's just important to read the descriptions and realize that the experience might be very different from one to the next. Marjorie was a very friendly, helpful host. Our boys also loved playing with Piper the dog!

Great experience!
We had a great time at Camp Victor. We really didn’t do a lot and it was wonderful. It was so lovely to just sit by the water and read. Next time we will be bringing our kayaks! And our dog had a great time, too, and enjoyed a lot of off-leash time around the cabin.

We own several properties in the area and this cabin is one of our favorites. We have lived in the Adirondacks since 1991 but have been part-time residents since the 1960s. We even attended the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid! We can offer suggestions for activities unless you simply want to rest and relax in a cabin.

Why they chose this property

This is the most scenic area in the east! It is an easy place to rest, relax and enjoy life at a slower pace. Kiwassa Lake is an idyllic and quiet lake and most guests return year after year to get away from the hustle and bustle of a faster pace.

The cabin offers a wonderful deck with Adirondack chairs that allow guests to put their feet up, read a book and soak up the view of the lake.

Often guests will take in a sighting of our lake loon and its beautiful calls. Other guests have said they have seen eagles, deer, fish jumping, wild types of birds, etc…

What makes this property unique

Our property is a dream come true. While there , guests enjoy bird watching, reading and traveling by boat to the nearby Village of Saranac Lake. Often guests will take in a sighting of the lake's loon and its beautiful calls. Other guests have said they have seen eagles, deer, fish jumping, wild types of birds, etc…
