About this property

peacefull house in pindos mountain

A house on the mountains, deep in the nature. Great for hiking, and river sports, or just for shaking civilisation away!!
It has a beautiful garden with trees and view to all shades of green.
The village is almost not inhabited in the winter(one person only!)

The house is 80% made of wood, has a big fireplace and the necessary to stay comfortable from April to November.
In 10 min. walk there is a beautiful clean river to bathe when is hot. In 20 min. hike, on the mountain opposite of the house, one reaches a great view! perfect for a daily condition training. Many other paths lead beep into the forest
near meteora, plastira lake and metsovo village ,its the perfect base for daily trips!

2/10 Terrible

A real gem & piece of heaven; the perfect getaway!
If you are looking to getaway from it all and be surrounded by lush greenery and impressive mountains, and be completely alone...this is it! Gregory’s fabulous house had everything we needed, from the kitchen, fireplace, linens, towels and with sooooo many extras. We walked along the river, we hiked right across the house to magnificent views, we just sat on the porch and watched cows walking by and heard “silence” which was perfect. It is quite a ride to get there but it is part of the experience (which we loved!). You better plan your groceries ahead as you wont want to drive anywhere after you have arrived. Depending on the time of the year (October for us), it can get pretty cold so you have to appreciate thick blankets at night (which we had plenty of!) and the fireplace. Gregory was extrelemely responsive; he even drove all the way to the house to greet us and to give us a tour with instructions. Very charming and helpful! We stayed only 2 nights but did not want to leave! We strongly recommend this charming and welcoming home to any of you (outdoorsy profile) wanting to experience a different side of Greece and wanting to get away. Mark this destination in your trip itinerary - you will be so grateful you did! Thank you Gregory for your lovely home, we will be back! *Your wife makes the perfect home made jam, I recommend to all of your guests to buy it, simply delicious! OPA! Christine & Sergio

Our father made this house almost entirely alone. his mother was from this village. This is a picture of our mother, in our latest holidays there.

Why they chose this property

We believe that houses need people to live in them, so that it stays "alive". Especially a house like this, so closely connected to the nature. This is the reason we are happy to have guests that enjoy it, as much as we do!

What makes this property unique

This house and the area around it, is "medicine" to modern people. One can only hear birds singing and the water running from a stream near by. It almost never gets too hot, and for these days there is the big river for a swim!
