ALOHA!

Enjoy the best of Kauai. This fully equipped ocean-view studio condo at Poipu Beach has stunning vistas of the bay, peaceful Prince Kuhio Park, and distant mountains framed by rainbows and swaying palms.

Only steps to the beach

Prince Kuhio Resort, awarded a prestigious certificate of excellence for its outstanding qualities, is a small and quaint resort about 20 yards from the beach. Some of the best swimming, snorkeling, and surfing on Kauai are right out in front at Prince Kuhio Beach and Lawai Beach. Hawaiian sea turtles and tropical fish swim close to shore in a protected cove.

The sound of the ocean

You will enjoy the sound of the ocean, the birds singing, the tropical breeze, and the amazing sunrise every day from your lanai, which has a bar-height table and chairs so that you can fully enjoy this extraordinary setting. On the other side of the resort there is a koi pond, waterfalls, and a large swimming pool surrounded by a lush, exotic garden with a picnic and barbecue area.

Located on the second floor, the 400 sf studio (including covered lanai) is tastefully decorated with island-style furnishings and a comfortable king bed. A split-system air conditioner was recently installed for your comfort. Even without a/c, many guests appreciate the cooling tradewinds that often blow through the windows and it is very comfortable for most of the year. The compact but well-equipped full kitchen has lots of extras. Beach towels and beach chairs are provided. All you will need are your swimsuit and flip flops!

A laundry facility is available in Prince Kuhio complex, located next to the facilities manager’s office on the first floor near the front parking lot. The facilities manager is not an individual unit's property manager, however, he can be very helpful in a pinch during the eight-hour day when he is on site.

Ample parking is usually available at the resort. There’s parking in the complex’s front parking lot, on the first floor of the adjacent parking garage, and along the roadside. If parking in the garage, please obtain a card from the site managers’s office and sign up even after hours when the office is often unlocked. If locked, sign up in the morning.

The owner of this unit lives on-island about an hour away so assistance is always readily available.

A 'Solid Gold Value'

The Ultimate Kauai Guidebook rates Prince Kuhio Resort condos as a 'Solid Gold Value.'

Great location in Kauai
Cozy but totally adequate for our stay. Location is great for south side. Easy walks to some great shops and restaurants. Short drive to Poipu’s best beaches. Early morning sunshine on the lanai goes well with the neighborhood roosters!

Perfect place to call home on vacation!
Jane’s home was beautiful, well-equipped and clean. The tiny beach across from the property had amazing snorkeling. Perfect location to explore the whole island. There is nothing we didn’t like about it. The people were kind, the roosters, geckos, birds were darling. The pool was beautiful and clean and parking was extremely easy and convenient. We would definitely stay here again!

PK Resort in a great location
PK 231 had everything we needed, clean and comfortable, very nice size for a couple on vacation. Resort is beautiful and relaxing. Jane is very easy to communicate with and we loved all her little notes on how everything in the condo works.(A/C, Fan, TV, etc...) Thanks Jane, we had a very nice stay; Rod & Kari C.

They have everything
Great cozy studio with wonderful host, Jane. She has everything you could want. The bed was very comfortable, linens great, abundance of pots, pans etc. The only thing that was challenging was the parking. Street parking was tough if you couldn’t get in the 1st floor of the garage. We had a full size truck so harder to get in if all larger spaces taken. The gardens there are the absolute best sooo many beautiful or kids on every tree. Wonderful bbq facilities & pool area. Jane is the best.

I was born and raised on Kauai and currently live in a verdant peaceful valley an hour away from this condo.

Why they chose this property

I chose this studio on the "sunny side" as my home-away-from-home because it enjoys almost year-round sunny skies and is literally steps away from some of Kauai's best beaches for snorkeling, swimming, surfing or simply relaxing.

The South Shore is also an ideal hub when planning an all-day trip to the west, east or north. While heading west toward the spectacular Waimea Canyon for hiking or picnicking, there are picturesque, charming little towns such as Old Town Hanapepe along the way.

If heading in the opposite direction toward the east and north, there's stand-up paddling on the Wailua River, exploring Old Kapaa Town, biking on the popular coastal bike path in Kapaa, numerous hiking trails and many beaches along the coast.

What makes this property unique

I love this condo complex because it sits on a special piece of land in very close proximity to all the beaches and other amenities that Poipu and Koloa have offer. In spite of that, the place has an old Hawaii charm to it, with a lush tropical garden in its courtyard containing some beautiful native species. Also in the courtyard is a well-designed, nicely sized new-ish swimming pool enhanced with a peaceful lava-rock waterfall on one end.

My studio is perfectly situated within the complex, located on the second floor towards the back of the property, yet it is convenient to the pool, manager's office, laundry room and parking structure, and away from any traffic.

Most of all, the unit has a great view of the ocean from the lanai and a peek from the edge of the bed. The unit also faces the expansive Prince Kuhio Park for maximum privacy and it enjoys cross ventilation most of the year and has beautiful sunrises and rainbows.

The vintage studio has a simple no-fuss, efficient floorplan which is easy to maintain and allows me to live a more carefree independent lifestyle.
