Dar Ta Sansun is a 400 hundred year old farmhouse, with unique architectural features of a mill room, donkey stable with feeding troughs, and a store room for the feed. Finished in a shabby chic style with a blend of modern touches, offering comfort, charm and relaxation. The farmhouse has outdoor terraces with fantastic views of Xewkjia domed church, a private garden with a large plunge pool, a roof terrace with a healing room and views over the whole island.
The Bedrooms:
The Sansun Suite
The Sansun suite creates an idyllic, relaxing experience. The terrace is perfect for an early sunrise with the shimmering reflections of the trees through the stained glass window or a candlelit evening watching the moon rise over the lit church of Xewjkia.
Before settling down for the night in the luxurious comfort of the king size bed, you can un-wind in the roll-top bath tub with views over the large eucalyptus tree, creating a peaceful atmosphere. As you soak in the stars above gaze down upon yourself after a hard day in the Mediterranean sunshine.
The Library
The Library is the perfect room for a family or a group, as the mezzanine floor with its book shelf stairs and railings, creates privacy for the super king bed, whilst leaving plenty of space for the single beds below.
These beds double as relaxing day beds for you to enjoy reading the wide range of books that fill the shelves, while the golden afternoon sun floods the room.
The Red Room
Go to sleep under the stars and the moon, then wake up to the sounds of the birds and a stunning sunrise (if you have left the shutters open). Whilst lying in bed you feel wonderfully suspended on the arched mezzanine floor providing you with a luxurious treehouse-like experience.
Beautifully restored limestone walls, soft Moroccan style lighting and the themed red sofa invite you charmingly to make the space your home. The beautiful art on the walls and the large mirror above the bed are the icing on the cake!
The Pigeon Coop
The newly refurbished Pigeon Coop is cozy, artistic and light. The view overlooks the garden and pool creating a perfect space to awake after a restful slumber. Simply furnished with a single bed and closet is all that is needed for the individual.
The Snug
The Snug has an old Gozo vibe with its limestone walls and animal feed troughs. Connected to the mill room it was originally used as the donkey stable, it is now the movie room with large day bed sofas covered in pillows, cushions and teddy bears. It can sleep two people in comfort and is the only room that can be completely blacked out during the day.
The Barn
The architecture in the this room is quirky with its low stone mezzanine floor, one meter thick walls and thick wooden roof beams. Originally the feed store for the donkeys who powered the mill, this room in now home to a single bed and a queen sized bed on the mezzanine floor making it an ideal room for kids or friends.
The Healing Room
Entering this room you instantly feel your worries wash away, as the scents of essential oils and Palo Santo fills your soul with well being, piece and tranquility. With its large massage table and double futon bed, this beautiful space is an ideal place for massages, treatments, meditation or reconnecting with your partner while you enjoy the asian decor.
