Maison Creole and seaside tropical garden - Canne bleue - T2

Bedrooms 1
Space 65 m²
Property type apartment
Minimum Stay 2 - 3 nights

Canne bleue - T2

The house is separated from the sea by a dirt road - which runs along the bay to the Pointe - and a small beach ramp of sand. There are 20 meters between the fence and the sea.

The blue Kann property offers:

- A convertible lounge-kitchen

- And a double bedroom (that can be transformed into room with 2 single beds) that evokes a ship's cabin. It is asleep listening to the lapping of the nearby sea.

The sea veranda and the private part of tropical gardens provide scenery and relaxation.

About the property

Simple and charming Creole house with 2 apartments 20 m from the sea

Located on the peninsula of Caravelle, this charming simple and comfortable house is separated from the sea by a sand and a dirt road that runs along the bay to the tip to Bibi.

The fishing boats moored in front of the house swaying in the waves will relieved by the coral reef that protects the bay.

The villa consists of 2 individual houses, each with access to private garden. Each unit has separate verandas.

KOLIBRI: 2 double bedrooms with chests beds, a bathroom-toilet and a kitchen-living room with, in the lounge, two corner-sofa-beds (sleeping as possible for 2 people: mattress 90x180)).

CANNE BLEUE: Renovated in September last year. A double bedroom (convertible into a room with 2 single beds) with a large bed chests, and a lounge with a sofa bed for 2 persons, fitted kitchen.

Both apartments are tastefully decorated in a warm atmosphere. If you are looking for authenticity, if you like the houses restored with simplicity, if you appreciate the efforts for the environment (solar water heater), you will feel at home.

Both apartments are fully equipped for the holidays.

Sun loungers, hammocks and chairs are available.

The garden and the verandas are organized for outdoor living: the sea side verandas overlook the bay of Tartane with its islet. Behind the house, the porch opens onto the tropical garden with its flowers hummingbirds, banana trees, and palm trees.

The day you can witness the return of fishing boats.

Each evening, the quiet lapping of waves and night owls conversations give their symphony of the Caribbean nights lulled to sleep.

No car needed (except for the days dedicated to the discovery of Martinique) because everything is within reach: restaurants (the nearest is 100m) and the village shop (supermarket 150m station) ensure the essential.

We can go swimming directly from the house and then rinse in the garden.

It is possible to swim at the house between the boats. The pontoon for lovers of diving is 70 m along the seafront.

Next to the dock, the village beach is cleaned daily. Gentle slope, ideal for children and adults.

There is also a secret wild beach 15 minutes walk ...

When the Caravelle peninsula it offers a total of 17 beaches and a beautiful nature reserve with many discoveries course.

THE BIG +: - The sea at the foot of the house ... - The great beauty of the peninsula of Caravelle with its 17 beaches, its nature reserve and its ballads. - The proximity to everything you need: grocery store, restaurants, etc. And also: - Car rental in Tartane (delivery at airport or at home): Caravelle rental. - Possibility of organizing ballads and pic-nics at sea with Gaston and his boat 'The Festival' moored in front of the house. - Possibility of delivery of fresh fish (see Gaston). And finally: Tartan is a known surf spot with surfers beach (Anse Bonneville) 1. 5 km from the house.

Beachfront house with beautiful garden (Canne Bleu T2)

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at Le Maison Tartane Canne Blue with my partner and my little boy (3 years old) for 6 nights and we enjoyed it very much. We chose this Maison among other reasons because of a negative review about fishermen talking loudly in front of the house. We simply love to get in touch with local people… but we haven’t seen or heard much but the ocean and the little frogs “singing” throughout the night. It was absolutely quiet and very secluded. The beach 80m from the house is beautiful but we enjoyed more the one at the opposite end of the village. Tartane is a small, charming fishermen’s village, very typical and untouched. The house is situated right at the beginning of the village in a very quiet neighborhood it but you can easily walk to the restaurants or the beach. The Canne Bleu is well maintained and very clean. We loved to stay in the terrace on the back side because the garden is very beautiful. The queen bed was comfortable and the mosquito net essential for undisturbed nights. It (the mosquito net) could have been bigger because our experience was keeping distance from the net was essential! The furniture is simple and the couch a bit worn-out but all told the house is for the price a really big deal! Krys reacts quickly and straightaway to all matters we had in advance. Once on site, Michele right next door gave us a warm welcome and helped with all practical matters.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your generous comments. We were also very happy to have you staying at the "Canne Bleue". It is always a great pleasure to deal with people who know how to enjoy life and we sincerely hope to see you again. We are lookinf for a new couch (although the actuel one is only 2 years old... but the houses by the sea, as their furniture, always get older faster than expected).

Beach town

  • 3 of 5

We stayed for 2 weeks on the smaller side of this duplex. It was nice to listen to the sound of the waves. Unfortunately we also had to listen to the guests on the other side constantly and occasionally the loud arguments of the fishermen right between us and the ocean and the young men in the same location playing their hip hop music. Michelle was right next door and very congenial and helpful. The bed was not a queen size, but a full. With the much needed mosquito net down the sleeping space was even smaller. The cottage was clean and the kitchen was adequate.

Owner's Response: Our house is not an isolated one. As it is close to the village, some children and some fishermen often come to stay on the beach where they work their nets. In the West Indies, people speak loud (which does not mean that they are arguing). They also like to listen to music by the sea, especially on week-ends. Most of our guests are happy to witness the carribean way of life. But after the sunset, the area becomes very quiet and it is true that one can hear the sound of the sea and the nightbirds. If you need a king size bed, it is possible to ask for two matresses to get a king size space. Also we have already installed a king size mosquito net. We will remember to remind our guest to be careful not to disturb their neigbour's peacefulness. And if you have any problem, just ask... Michele and I are here to help and to convey messages if needed.

  • 3 of 5

  • 4 of 5
