The Manor is one of the most popular destinations in Southern Utah for groups of family and friends to gather under one roof. Whether it is a church retreat, a corporate training function, or just an old fashioned family reunion, there is no better place to stay than Snow Canyon Manor.

Though the Manor can host up to 30 guests in a family style setting (less privacy), it is ideal for small groups needing additional privacy. Seven (7) guests wanting their own rooms and substantial privacy fit wonderfully in this mansion, with four full bathrooms and one guest bathroom.

The most ideal group would consist of couples and related children, with adults sleeping in bedrooms and children sleeping in pull-out couches in common areas. Some groups don't mind a little less privacy in exchange for the great price they receive over standard hotel accommodations. For instance, at a local hotel, a group of 24 guests would run around $1,200 a night for a 4 person occupancy in a bargain hotel (have fun in that tight space with four people!). In contrast, that cost at the Manor would cost less than $700.00 at weekend rates.

The average hotel room has about 350 square feet of room. For a group of 24, you would essentially be packing friends and family into 2400 sq. feet of space -- most of the time with no kitchen facilities, nor any place to gather. You also get the luxury of swimming in a over-chlorinated pool with the creepy predator-looking guy with the comb-over from room 305. Yikes!

Contrast that to our well maintained 6700 sq. feet that includes a heated indoor pool that is chlorinated for 30 people -- not 300! And you can hop in the outdoor Jacuzzi with friends -- not just the guy from room 305!

Of course, if you really want to spoil yourself, one couple can have the whole place to themselves for just the daily base rental rate. The honeymoon suite upstairs consists of a deep bathtub, a walk-in shower for two, a sitting room with separate couches, a King bed, a traditional closet, a wet bar, a TV console and a built in bluetooth sound system. Yes, it is over the top, but some special vacations demand total luxury. The upstairs sleeping area also has reduced outside light exposure, so an early morning sleep-in is as simple as it gets.

The largest groups do sacrifice some privacy as sleeping arrangements must include blow-up beds and pull out couches in one of three main gathering areas (Upstairs, Main Level, Downstairs). There is also a greater demand on the 4 full bathrooms (and one guest bathroom), but with some coordination, it can and does work well for groups up to 30 people.

The base rate covers up to five (5) people for this stunning three story mansion set on the side of a hill and looking directly at the upper rock formations of Snow Canyon State Park. There is a small charge for each additional guest to offset additional costs. Children under five (5) stay free.

Custom built for the very purpose of looking on the grandeur of the rock formations of Snow Canyon Park, the Manor lacks nothing that comfort requires for all our guests.

Each floor has its own living room. Each spacious bedroom features a Queen or King size bed. A library converts into yet another private sleeping room (7th room). A foodie-gourmet kitchen with upgraded appliances allows you to cook your favorite treat or meal with ease.

Consider the savings in not having to eat out every night while staying in a stale hotel room. Do your really want to eat the reconstituted eggs found in those "complimentary breakfasts" for the third morning in a row? We have all you need to make a full 5-star breakfast for all your guests -- including cereal and milk. Whatever you can plan and haul in, we have two refrigerators, skillets, stove tops, a microwave, a Keurig coffee maker (and pot coffee maker too). And we have all the silverware and dishes you will need -- even for large groups.

The Manor earns high marks with large groups because there are dozens of places to find privacy and solitude within the home, as well as outdoors. In fact, when you add an acre of land to the massive home, you realize just how big this place is.

A six foot high brick wall surrounds a full acre of land to provide privacy and security for your family and friends. Three large grass fields, a basketball court, and sand volleyball pit keeps you and your guests busy all day and into the night. In the evening, take a dip in the indoor heated pool or the exterior jacuzzi. Enjoy some smores at the fire pit or watch a movie one of the seven TV screens. In the morning, jog or bike through the Ledges and Winchester Hills communities of gentle, rolling foothills. Later in the morning, enjoy a round of golf course at the Ledges Golf Course, which is only a half-mile away.

In all, if you want luxury, Snow Canyon Manor will not disappoint.

Two master suites with en suite bathrooms with walk-in showers (Stewart and Wallace Suites) These suites also have King Beds. Two mini-suites have en suite bathrooms with Queen Beds. All stay packages include full main floor living area which includes Separate Living Room, 60' TV, gourmet kitchen, Inline Fridge, commercial stove & cooktop, kitchen nook, breakfast bar and swivel chairs, filtered water, dishwasher, All kitchen accessories of utensils, plates, wine glasses, etc., coffeemaker, blender, Rice cooker, crockpot, Library/study with Mac computer & WiFi/Internet, formal dining room, laundry room with washer/dryer, pantry with stocked condiments, guest bath & coat closet, large covered patio, outside grill, outside jacuzzi tub, access to heated indoor pool, access to one acre recreational yard, gardens, and greenhouse.

RV Parking, Boat Parking, multiple car parking is available on property. Out of courtesy for neighbors, street parking is discouraged. RV Parking does not include sewer disposal, but does include water and electricity.

Regardless of the ages of the guests, there is something for everyone to do. The home can sleep up to three to four families comfortably.

Interaction with Guests and Communications:

When booking, you will initially plan your stay with the owner in as much detail as you feel comfortable. The owner will answer any questions you might have (How close is the golf course? Can you really see the Milky Way at night? Is there a basketball?).

Shortly before your stay, you will be introduced to our local concierge. The concierge is there as a resource to you, to help you get the most out of your stay. After you leave we will have one additional contact to ask your advice as to how we can improve our property or our services.

The Neighborhood:

It is a real neighborhood with mostly retirees, but these are very active folks who garden and tend to their shrubs. It is a development next to a golf course, a state wilderness park, and near a wildlife preserve. It is dark at night and the air is Alaska-fresh. It is amazingly close to town, but because of a wildlife turtle preserve, it feels much more rural than you would expect. It is 1000 feet higher than St. George proper, so it runs about five degrees cooler than the heart of the city and does get some snow at times during the winter.

SPECIAL EVENTS/WEDDINGS

The Manor is located in a neighborhood with full-time residents, so larger group events (like small weddings up to 60 people) and outside activities at night (anything outdoors that would be noisy after-hours) will require prior review by the owner to assure the tranquility of the neighborhood. Parking accommodations must be properly organized so there is no significant impact on the neighborhood. Activities and events would need to be typical of a residential nature and the owner limits and spaces the number of such events annually to reflect a typical large, but active, full-time residence.

Getting around:

You will need to bring a car or rent one at the airport. The streets are in excellent condition and the highway up and down to St. George is four lane the entire way. Bring a mountain bike for a great ride around the paved hills of the area.

The home has a large amount of sporting activities including one basketball standard (on a full sized concrete court), a 50 by 20 yard grass field, a beach sand volleyball pit, an indoor pool, an outdoor hot tub; and a playhouse for the youngest of adventurers (which continually gets updated and decorated from our best and youngest designers!).

Guests who come again and again, still report finding new things to do at the Manor or in the nearby parks and city. Snow Canyon Park is two minutes away. Zion's Park is about 45 minutes away. Skiing is about 1 hour 15 minutes away. North Grand Canyon is about 2.5 hours away. Las Vegas is 2 hours away. Mesquite, Nevada is about 30 minutes away. Pine Valley (mountains and fishing) is 30 minutes away. St. George is 8-10 minutes away. Tuachan Theater is 13 minutes away. Cedar City Shakespeare Theater and Southern Utah University is 45 minutes away. Lake Mead boating is 1 hour 15 minutes away. Sand Hallow swimming and boating is 30 minutes away. Bryce Canyon is 45 minutes away.

Snow Canyon State Park is immediately next to the Manor and the upper rock formations are clearly visible in the morning and evenings from the back patio deck, full length windows on the main level of the Manor and upstairs through the panoramic windows. Snow Canyon is so close that you will feel a part of the dramatic views the Park brings every day.

For those looking for a particularly unique experience, golfing on the nearby Ledges Golf Course, is a once in a lifetime experience as the back nine goes along the ledge of the top of Snow Canyon. Within 30 minutes, you can also be fishing at Pine Valley or within 90 minutes, you can be skiing at Brianhead. If you are visiting during the summer, the World Famous Shakespeare Festival is only an hour away, or the Neil Simon Comedy Festival plays at the same location during the fall. A little closer, within 11 miles there is the Tuachan Center for Performing Arts, which has summer time musicals and a fall concert series.

At night from the Manor you can see the lights of Tuachan reflect on the canyon walls. For athletes, the Manor is located directly next to the St. George Marathon, Triathalon and Ironman running course. Within the local area, there are plenty of small hills to jog or bike around.

The Manor is located within a quiet rural neighborhood, so outside night events are not available out of respect for those living around the Manor.
