About the host

Irene and Evrard together with their six children currently live in Western Canada where Evrard works. Previously they spent most of their life in France and grew up in Paris. As a kid Evrard spent all his winter hollidays in Beaufortain, skiing on these beautiful and familly friendly hills. Irene falled in love as well with the region and is as excited to go there in the summer as in the winter.

Why they chose this property

After many years looking for a cabin to buy, both in the vicinity of the resort and with a great view, we eventually had the opportunity to buy a land with a fantastic view on the magnificient landscape. Evrard did the design of the cabin. The final adjustment to the plans and the construction was carried out by a very sucessfull local carpenter. Other local contractors were hired. All together they did a amaizing job which impressed all visitors. Irène did all the decoration work and looked for old furniture in all the Alps to equip the cabin. We quite often go back to the cabin even though it is a long trip to go from the Canadian Rockies to the French Alps!

What makes this property unique

The unique atmosphere of the cabin charms all visitors. Quality of materials, design and furnitures is impressive. It is a pleace of great place and harmony. From the living room, the dining room, the kitchen and from all bedrooms you can enjoy the fantastic view and the light fully comes in. It is so resting and relaxing! The cabin is extremely comfortable and access to the resort is easy with a 5' car drive or with the free shuttle.
