About William Holden

For 37 years, William was an airline captain. He started with Trans World Airlines (TWA) and spent the last years of his career with American Airlines. During this time, he was also a real estate developer in Vail, Colorado, USA (1972 to 1986). During that time, he developed town homes and multi-family condominiums in a ski resort and golf course setting. He also acted as general contractor, architect, sales manager, and property manager for all properties he developed.

From 1986 to 2001, William was an appraiser in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. He primarily did appraisals and investment analysis on shopping centers, office buildings, industrial office warehouses and residential apartment properties.

From 2001 to 2005, William had an asset management company and provided investment analysis as a registered investment adviser with a Series 7 securities license. He also specialized in allocating IRA/401k retirement funds to investment real estate.

From 2005 to present, William has made many investments in residential real estate on the north coast of the Dominican Republic. In the process, he set up a full-service real estate company in Cabarete to include property management, rental management, sales, and guest services.

Why William Holden chose Cabarete

After visiting Hawaii and other parts of the Caribbean, I chose the Dominican Republic because it has the best of all worlds. For me, the Pacific Ocean was just too big and it took forever to cross. The Caribbean, on the other hand, is only 1-1/2 hours south of Miami. And Harmony Condominiums are only 20 minutes from the International Airport. Most importantly, however, is that there are so many things to do in the Dominican Republic. There are hundreds of miles of pristine beaches and the mountains in the center of the country are over 10,000 feet above sea level. Plus, there are big cities when I want them, or quaint village away from it all when I need that. And the Dominican people are great: they are a very warm and gracious people.

What makes this condo unique

The unique benefits of Harmony 222 is its location in the center building on the second floor. It's nice to walk straight out of a ground level unit but the views from the terrace just aren't the same. On higher levels, the ocean and gardens just don't seem real. However, on the second level there are great ocean, pool, and garden views from every room in the apartment. There is also on-site rental services staff available from the office of Holden Sotheby's Realty office located at the entrance to the complex. The client services manager can be contacted there during normal office hours or by phone at any other time.
