Fabulous sea view
Katia’s penthouse apartment is spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. The larger terrace (there are two) overlooks the sea and has great furniture for eating and sunbathing. There are the foundations of a building in front of the apartment which has never been finished (and apparently won’t be) but you really don’t notice it, all you see is the sea and you can watch the windsurfers and kite surfers. We enjoyed being at the quieter end of town and it was only a couple of minutes walk to the swimming beach and the Columbus club where we relaxed on sun benches and had great food. There’s also a lovely ice cream and sandwich shop right there. About 10 minutes walk away is the pier where we bought beautiful fish straight from the boats for about €3 to €4 per kilo and there are lovely ladies selling fruit and vegetables from their wheelbarrows. We had a great day tour of Sal with an Italian girl who lives round the corner and their company is called 360 degrees. You can book it from the tourist office next to the back entrance of the Sal beach and sport club. We loved staying in Katia’s apartment and will definitely stay there again when we return to Sal.
