Located in the Historic Garden District of New Orleans, our circa 1830's home has a nicely restored one-bedroom suite with parlor, bath and kitchenette available for rent. This unit is located in our house. The rental features high ceilings, antique lighting, heart of pine floors, and large rooms. The 11x21 foot bedroom has a queen-size bed, a good-sized closet, and an enclosed washer/dryer. The living room boasts a fireplace, large windows, dining table, TV cable, and queen size sleeper sofa. Your private entrance opens to a cozy kitchenette with gas stove, microwave, coffee machine, refrigerator, and pantry. The historic St. Charles Avenue street car line is just a block away and will take you into the French Quarter, or through Historic Uptown New Orleans and on to Audubon Park. “Must see” Lafayette Cemetery is located just four blocks behind us and the Magazine Street Shopping District, with it's many award-winning restaurants and local boutiques/shops, is only three blocks away. We are also one block off the Mardi Gras parade routes in a wonderful central location close to everything and with immediate access to public transportation. The double-decker tour bus even goes right by us. A nice grocery and a pharmacy are located one block away. This unit is located in our home with one of us always around to assist or answer questions about this wonderful city you are visiting. My partner and I love the history and charm of New Orleans and have spent the past two years restoring this historic Greek Revival home. We would enjoy sharing the history of our house and city with you—just ask! ***Our street is currently having work completed for a new underground culvert and there is now no parking on the street. Because of this we offer parking for one vehicle in our rear driveway and have modified our rates for a "street construction" discount! Construction is between the hours of 7:30AM and 3PM. The construction changes on a weekly basis please ask if you have any questions.

Bedroom sleeps two people in the bed. A new queen size sleeper sofa is located in the living room and can sleep an additional two people.
