Affordable residential apartment
Frederic the property owner was very friendly and easy to reach.
Things to know and concern about the apartment:
1. Located in Poble Sec, a residential neighbourhood, very close to a metro station, and about a 20 minute walk to La Rambla
2. Kitchen is well appointed, we cooked breakfast everyday to startout our day, a grocery store is nearby.
3. There is 1 bathroom which can only be accessed through one of the bedrooms. We travelled as a family and made it work but this may not work for other travellers.
4. The bathroom had an old bar of soap to wash your hands which was kinda gross. Small suggestion would be to provide liquid soap instead.
4. The bedroom with the bathroom access had nowhere to hang/ fold our clothes. There was only small night table with drawers. We lived out of our suitcases
5. The 2nd bedroom was small and only suitable for 1 person to sleep. It did have a small closet space for clothes.
6. The air conditioning units worked very well.
We were very lucky to stay a bit longer (5 days) in Barcelona this trip. The apartment was really lovely and quite a bit larger than I expected. The lounge, dinning room (with lots of seating) and open kitchen were perfect. With beautiful windows with Juliette balconies overlooking the street. The bedroom at the back of the apartment was very nice, very quiet, overlooking the backyards of the apartments.
The owner, Frederic, met us and was very kind to help us up the stairs with all our luggage. I had hurt my knee just before traveling, and so the stairs was quite a challenge for me.
It was so nice to be back in Barcelona, and nice to take the extra time to see some sites that we had never seen before. Thank you so much for your hospitality Frederic. We would definitely stay again, if we have the opportunity.
Séjour d'une semaine début novembre 2019,
2 adultes
This is a great flat in the Poble Sec neighbourhood of Barcelona. It is perfect for a couple or a family with kids. This flat would not work well as well for two couples travelling together since the only bathroom is accessed through the main bedroom. The flat is conveniently located close to fruit markets, grocery stores and restaurants, but it is a quiet location, so there are no problems sleeping at night. Our host Frederic met us at the flat and explained everything to us. He was very helpful and made sure we had his number in case there was anything else we might need, or if any other questions came up. The flat was well equipped and our only issue was the low temperature of the water when taking a shower. We found it a bit cool, but in warmer weather this might not be an issue. We enjoyed our stay in Barcelona and we will definitely return.

I'm french but fluent in English ;) and live in Barcelona for years now where I run a company dedicated in importing furniture and antiques from India. I will be happy to share my enthusiasm and knowledge about this great city.
Why they chose this property
I started with touristic rental 8 years ago while I was living in Amsterdam. I discovered then a real enjoyment to welcome travelers travelers and to share with them my local places and to help them to discover the unusually seen in touristic trips. I know for having traveled quite a lot how important is to have the right contacts in a city !!
What makes this property unique
Great Neighbourhood central and well communicated. Neighbourhood authentically spanish, quiet and... in the last years becoming the bohemian place to be, attracting more and more artists, musicians and self employed young entrepreneurs. Apartment spacious, comfortable et totally equipped.
