About this property

Character cottage with log effect fire and beamed ceilings

This small terraced cottage combines a good deal of charm and character with a pleasant and peaceful East Yorkshire coastal village location.
The village is surrounded by open fields with no shortage of interesting walks, and the cottage is located approximately one mile from the sea, offering a sheltered beach at low tide. (Access to the beach is restricted).
The cottage is cosy, comfortable and extremely well equipped with TV, video, CD etc., there are two bedrooms, which can sleep up to four adults, plus cot and for an additional young child. One small, well behaved pet may be accommodated by arrangement. There is strictly no smoking in the cottage itself.
To the rear of the cottage is a pretty, well maintained garden which is safe for children to play with no access to the roads, there is a covered fish pond and patio area and BBQ.
Downstairs in the cottage, the living room features an open brick fireplace, open beamed ceiling. There is a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with electric shower.
The cottage is ideally situated for Birdwatching, Fishing, walking, and for places of Historical interest, and we can offer by arrangement and additional costs, the facilities of a recording studio complete with production engineer, so you can record that long awaited album!

Lovely quiet Yorkshire village
Well kept cottage that has everything that you need, lovely garden to sit out and relax in, and easy parking right outside on your doorstep. Quiet village, that's close to many beaches, as you can't access the beach at Aldbrough due to cliff erosion, which is a real shame. I would recommend to stay at the property if you drive, if you wish to get out and about as transport links to the major cities and towns are not regular. Also due to the cottage being in a rural village the wifi is very poor.

GREAT BREAK AWAY
We loved the holiday in the cottage, it was definitely like home from home, everything was supplied, we did not need to have taken anything , if you have a difficulty with the stairs this is not for you as they are quite steep, but there is a good handrail to hold onto, , be aware the toilet and bathroom are also downstairs, we would definitely reccommend the property and hope to return in the future

Great break
We had a great week, great base for everything we wanted to do. Owners live next door and made us feel very welcome, leaving milk for our arrival and a homemade fresh loaf of bread On one of the days. A very cosy, comfy cottage. Would definitely stay again.
