Half Baths1
Space 2,600 sq ft
Property type lodge
Minimum Stay 2 - 4 nights

About the property

5 Bedroom house, Bunkhouse (adds 8 beds), Pool, poolhouse, 2 hot tubs, sauna

Kick off your shoes and relax at a spacious vacation home in the woods. To get to this secluded property you do have to drive on a gravel road. It is a bit bumpy but relax, drive slowly and enjoy your ride through the woods. Once you have arrived you may not want to leave. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the porch in the morning and listen to the birds sing and watch the deer in the yard. If it is a chilly fall or winter month enjoy your cup of coffee or hot chocolate in the living room in front of the fireplace. There are many ways to spend your day - relaxing by the pool, hiking in the woods or fishing in the pond. For the kids - there are 2 outdoor play areas with swings, slides, a climbing rope and more. Also, there is a game room at the main house with a ping-pong table, air hockey table, foosball table and a hoop shoot. If you are looking for some quiet time, there are 3 televisions, each with a DVD player, in the house and an extensive collection of DVDs. There is a Wii game system. There are lots of books and magazines available and plenty of spaces in the house for reading and/or napping. There are games for the entire family and toys for the kids. Pool season is May 11 through October 1. The pool has a large deck with a hot tub and a pool house. The pool has a waterfall and there is a good supply of pool toys. There are lots of tables and chairs to relax in. The pool house has two full bathrooms with pool towels. In the pool house there is a small refrigerator and a microwave you can use for snacks and cold drinks. The pool house also has an infrared sauna. After a full day of relaxing and having fun, use one of the 3 grills (1 at the house and 2 on the pool deck) to cook a delicious dinner. When evening comes, sit in rocking chairs on the porch, watch the sunset, soak in one of the two hot tubs or relax in the sauna. Then as night falls, sit around a campfire and look at the stars. The night sky is amazing. Sleep well. Great for family reunions or a romantic weekend get away. The main house sleeps 12 with additional sleeping accommodations in the bunkhouse and the yurt (additional charge for bunkhouse ($100.00 per night) and/or yurt ($75.00 per night)). Upstairs in the bunkhouse there is a room with 4 bunk beds (8 single beds). That room has a heat and air unit which keeps that room at a comfortable temperature no matter what time of year. Downstairs in the bunkhouse there is a half bath. Guests who stay in the bunkhouse can use the showers in the main house or in the pool house. Also downstairs in the bunkhouse there is a kitchen area with a full size refrigerator (nice for large groups to have an extra refrigerator to use to store food). Also in the bunkhouse kitchen area there is a microwave for late night snacks for those folks sleeping in the bunkhouse. The yurt has 5 sleeping cots. It also has a small refrigerator. The property has a lot to offer - be sure to look at all the photos. This is a perfect place to settle in. However, if you are up for an adventure, there are many places to see and things to do in Northwest Arkansas. Fayetteville, the home of the University of Arkansas and the Razorbacks is an easy drive - 30 minutes away. Fayetteville has many fine dining restaurants and also is home to the Walton Arts Center which hosts many cultural events. Bentonville, where the world famous Crystal Bridges Museum is located, is less than an hour away. Close by Crystal Bridges is a dynamic new children's museum - Amazeum. Welcome.

Beautiful Wilderness Escape

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved this home! It is beautiful and has everything you could possibly want or need...and more! Great for kids of all ages. If the weather is nice they can spend all day outside, and when it’s time to come in, they can hang out in he huge garage which has ping pong, basketball, cornhole, foosball, etc.

We loved the layout of the home. The master is separated from the other rooms and has a huge, deep tub and doors that open right up to the deck. We enjoyed coffee in the rocking chairs on the back deck in the morning where you have an incredible view of trees and nature at its best.

Great location if you want to hike at Devil’s Den. Easy trip to West Fork and Fayetteville, as well.

In short, we can’t wait to come back! Thank you so much to the homeowners who have clearly put a lot of work into making sure every detail was thought of, and for making their home feel like our home for a few days!

Had a great time. Enjoyed hiking on property, going into Fayetteville, and the hot tub. Kitchen and bathrooms well-equipped. We all really loved our weekend with old friends and traveling companions. Owners were wonderful, even loaning us something of theirs we neglected to bring. We will return.

This property was magnificent! The owners put a lot of effort into making you feel welcome!

We rented this party for our family Christmas dinner. Everyone LOVED the Lodge and said it was so beautiful and felt so cozy and inviting. There was plenty of space for everyone to gather together, and also many different "places" to get away and have smaller groups for visiting (several porches with awesome views, 2 living rooms, game room, many outdoor areas, etc.). There were lots of amenities so every age group found plenty of fun things to do.

Sherry and Ira certainly put a lot of love into this property because there were no details overlooked. Fully equipped, neat and orderly, comfy and cozy. Thank you Sherry and Ira for opening your beautiful Lodge to us! We will definitely be back next Christmas, if not sooner!

Beautiful House for Large Groups 30 min from Fayetteville

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed at this home for a wedding in Mulberry, AR. The house was absolutely wonderful and fit our large group of 14 VERY comfortably. Sherry and Ira are the absolute BEST to work with and are extremely accommodating and incredibly friendly. Sherry and Ira have put a huge effort in making you feel comfortable and at home. I would rent this house over and over again. This is the perfect space for large groups coming in town for Razorback games, weekend getaways and graduation! A few things I would just note before renting is pretty secluded and about 30 minutes from any city (Fayetteville or Van Buren). Wifi is not available at this location so plan on disconnecting while you're at the house! Enjoy the back porch, the pool or the games they have provided. The last thing I would note and didn't notice until we arrived is the only way to get to the room with the 3 twin beds is to go through one of the other bed rooms. This isn't that big of a deal but is good to know ahead of time. We absolutely loved our time here and look forward to visiting again!

Owner's Response: Thank you for the wonderful review ! We certainly appreciate your taking the time to share your thoughts about your stay at our vacation rental property. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay and that you are looking forward to coming back. We would like to make one small correction to this review. Wifi is available at our property and we do share the password with our guests upon request. However, due to our location we do not have unlimited data. Therefore we do ask that our guests use the Wifi sparingly. As was mentioned in our guest's review there is a lot to do at our property. We encourage our guests to unplug and unwind.

We are located out in the country. This is a place to unwind and unplug. See lots of wildlife, fish in the pond, hike in the woods or if the season is right hang out by the pool. Any season is right for hanging out in the hot tub(s). If and when you do want to leave the valley, visit Northwest Arkansas. Fayetteville (about 30 minutes away) is a lovely university town with a lot to see and do - fine restaurants, theatres and movies. Visit Bentonville (about 50 minutes away), the home of Walmart and now the world renowned Crystal Bridges Museum. We are close to two beautiful state parks - Devil's Den and Lake Fort Smith. We are in the Ozark Mountains - a beautiful area in all four seasons.
