I understand that some reviews are lengthy and a bit dull, so I will keep this short, sweet, and HONEST!

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!! I had NO idea we would literally be directly across the street from USNA Entrance 1 (between the car entrance and the walking entrance). I could see over the Academy walls from my bedroom upstairs...not to mention the amazing PEOPLE WATCHING while sitting on the front steps!

THE HOME! Stunning!! The rooms were big, the claw-foot bathtub was my haven, the kitchen was ON POINT and the backyard was private and had all of the essentials..BBQ, patio furniture, a heater, and THE LIGHTS.....THE LIGHTS across the whole back patio are a truly perfect touch!

THE ROOMS: The master bedroom is fit for a King & Queen...HUGE! The pictures do not do it justice! There are 2 windows from which you can see over the Academy walls! The 2nd bedroom had an incredibly comfortable (I believe full size) bed...and the 3rd room has a futon couch.

DOWNSTAIRS: The front room is wonderful and also has a pull out sleeper sofa, an ample sized TV and a gorgeous fireplace...LOVE! There is "formal" dining room which we never used, because we were ALWAYS on the BACK PATIO w/ "party lights"...The KITCHEN is beautiful...Granite Counter-tops, S/S appliances, and a room with a Washer/Dryer(detergent provided!)

THE OWNERS and their ADORABLE PUP - By random chance, while we were killing time until check in, we were walking past the house and literally ran into the owners who were coming out of their 10 Randall Home...They are wonderful and COULD NOT be more HELPFUL, PERSONABLE AND ACCOMMODATING! We communicated mostly by text and he never took more that 2 minutes to respond! (We found the pencil drawing of their adorable pup in the Breakfast Nook adorable!)

THINGS TO DO: I was there for the last formal of the year, so that was awesome, KOSMO NAILS was perfect for mani /pedies! THE BIG CHEESE is a MUST!! Mango Pepper Jelly, Brie, Crackers, Meat Tray, and the Sheila B. Brownie Bites are a must!!

SUMMARY: John's tag line is ON POINT...."Best Location. Best PRICE. Across from the Academy"

If you are FORTUNATE ENOUGH to stay here, you will definitely agree that, as a realtor of 12 years, they could EASILY charge WAY MORE!!!

The only hiccup on this trip was that my soon to be son-in-law gave me a USNA issued sweatshirt...Since my husband is a USMA '86 grad...he had heartburn when I wore it on the flight home!! HEHE!

Beautiful, cozy home, spotless, new appliances, ideal location!

  • 5 of 5

We spent a couple of days at this rental over President's Day weekend and I cannot overstate what a great experience we had. The house is warm and cozy and ideally situated mere steps from the marina and downtown historic district. The home owner was incredibly accommodating and provided everything we could need. In fact, he went above and beyond, leaving us a lovely bottle of red wine. This has been my best Home Away/VRBO rental experience to-date and I highly recommend this property!

Property was fully equipped with everything we needed - like a ‘home away from home’. John was extremely helpful and informative during our planning and everything was as we expected. Thanks a lot!

Great location

  • 5 of 5

Great location near downtown. Although there's traffic noise from Main Street, it's not very noticeable late at night. There are many restaurants and places to visit in the area. Great walkable city. Lovely house. Right across the street from the Naval Academy which is a great place to visit with museums and picturesque views. I would love to stay there again, and I would recommend this place.

Perfect USNA location- quaint and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

Wish it had been warm during our visit so I could have spent time on the patio!! So nice! Well appointed kitchen- bathroom knob needs something me fixing - but didn't detract from the charm! Wifi worked great - and in and out with keyless entry was so convenient. Wonderful to have shampoo and soap and conditioner on arrival before we made it to the store - AND THANK YOU FOR THE BOTTLE OF WINE!

Very nice place to stay for the weekend or longer. Close to everything, parked once and was able to walk everywhere during our stay. Very good communication with the owner, responded quickly to our e-mail. We would like to return for another stay in the future.
