The Lake Cle Elum Retreat is nestled in the pine trees one block from Lake Cle Elum. The lake shore is available via private neighborhood access (including vehicles). Enjoy this spacious, five-bedroom home that is the ideal gathering place for family and friends. The great room presents views of Mount Baldy and glimpses of Lake Cle Elum through the large west facing windows. The house has wifi and local phone. It has a large TV in the living room but there is no cable service, so bring your laptop and connect via HDMI.
Snowmobile to over 200 miles of trails from the house and there is plenty of off street parking for your trailers (~140 feet of plowed driveway).
The home has five bedrooms (one king, two queens, three fulls), a recreation room with pool table, air hockey table, entertainment center, card table, two full bathrooms, and a deck that is perfect for relaxing and barbecuing. Winter brings many fun activities...hiking, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, fat biking, and sledding. Summer is great for outdoor fun including lake shore activities (bring your own boat, paddleboard, kayak, etc. or rent then from two nearby rental shops...Cascade Playtime or the Last Resort). Also enjoy 'smores and camp fire songs at the outdoor fire pit.
Easy lake access and the neighborhood boat launch are all of a minute walk from the house at the end of the block. The lake provides swimming and boating in summer and cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, and sledding in the winter. Hiking, mountain biking, and snowmobile trails are all within close proximity. Enjoy a round of golf at Prospector, the newly established Suncadia course 10 miles south of the house. A float trip on the Cle Elum and Yakima Rivers is also an exciting option.
Enjoy preparing meals at the house, dining table accommodates 12, or enjoying one of the local establishments in the historic town of Roslyn, Washington. The house is an easy hour drive to Leavenworth (quaint Bavarian village) and Yakima (known for wine tasting fun and lots of fresh produce). Do not forget the various music festivals and rodeo a half hour away in Ellensburg.
Our home is clean, functional, great for families and provides amazing access to many recreational activities. It is not luxurious (ie no granite counters, stainless appliances, heated bathroom floors, etc.) and our rates don’t compare with area homes that are newer and more modern. Know that the white basement carpet has a few stains, but is professionally cleaned each year.
