Best of both worlds - near downtown, but across the river in an urban oasis

This fully furnished flat has a basement with full laundry and three beautifully finished stories above. The third story is a captive third bedroom (must go through master bedroom to get to it) or use as office/study.

The remodel was completed in 2014. Owner is investor that is holding on to the property. Just minutes from downtown (don't even have to get on the interstate!) this more subdued, yet hip, urban neighborhood is just the zen you will need to relax after a day on the job or visiting friends in the city.

PARKING: It's an urban area so I get a lot of questions about parking. Here's the answer - Directly in front of the house there are signs saying “Permit Parking Only” without a permit they may ticket you, but mostly between 930pm and 1030pm, especially on weekends. This is because it's near a restaurant district and residents don't like their customers to park in front of their homes. So it is for the residents' benefit, but even though I own this home, permits aren’t transferable from car to car, so I can’t get one for each one of my guests. That being said, I haven’t had any reports of tickets during the day or on Mon-Thurs. I have had reports of $45 tickets during busy restaurant hours Friday and Saturday usually around 8pm or 9pm. If you want another parking option, there is unrestricted street parking a couple blocks to the south, a little farther away from the restaurants on E Carson St.

Most people risk it and park right in front of the house. During a week stay they are generally getting one ticket, usually on Saturday. I used to pay the tickets, but then people were parking in no parking zones and fire hydrants and sending me the tickets so I don’t do that anymore.

The house is within Walking Distance of the East Carson Street Historical District. The district has a farmers market during the summer, It also has lot of small stores and restaurants including a Starbucks. Other restaurants and bars include Nakama Japaneese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar, PIttburgh Steak Co, Piper's Pub and Fat Head's Saloon.

If you want to walk a little farther east you'll hit Southside Works, home to a Cheesecake Factory, a Movie Theatre, Urban Outfitters, BCBG Max Azria and more!
