About Peggy Jenkins 423-883-6028

Our Family lives approximately 2 hours from Rocky Top Lodge and are very active owners, meaning that we visit often to keep everything is A+ condition. After vacationing in the beautiful Smokey Mountains for many years, we decided to purchase our own cabin in 2011. It is truly our 2nd home and is decorated to feel like home. You will find my Southern Bell's (wife's) taste in every detail from the small decorations to large family table in the dining room. Her love and gentleness are what Rocky Top is all about. You'll experience it the moment you walk in the front door.

We are both Tennesseans; grew up in and raised our family in Tennessee. We love this part of the world and the Smoky Mountains are where we go for fun and relaxation. Rocky Top shows the Southern Country Charm that we grew up around and is a great example of the gentleness you would expect in the Appalachian Mountains. Come, visit, experience the way we live.

Why Peggy Jenkins 423-883-6028 chose Townsend

After visiting dozens of cabins and properties, we new Rocky Top was the one we wanted the minute we walked through the front door. As we walked through the front door, the beauty of the mountains came bursting through the glass wall on the opposite side of the room. The view was breath taking. Immediately, my wife said, 'this is the one!' It is truly the Crown on top of the mountain. You can touch the stars on a bright clear night and see dozens of mountains on a clear day. It is truly a Million Dollar View....

Beautiful, comfortable home away from home with STUNNING views

  • 5 of 5

Our December trip to Rocky Top Lodge created memories we will cherish for a lifetime. The view out the floor to ceiling windows/off the back deck was absolutely GLORIOUS, and the cabin was plenty spacious for our 3 families - 8 adults and 4 teenagers/preteens. We made tasty dinners and Christmas cookies in the huge kitchen, had morning devotions by the beautiful stone fireplace in the open living area, competed in pool and foosball in the upstairs game room, and rested well in the large, comfortable bedrooms. In just 20-30 minutes, we were sightseeing in Cade's Cove and hiking Laurel Falls in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We hope to stay with you again in the future and would recommend Rocky Top to others looking for a comfortable, relaxing getaway with an inspiring view in a great location. Thank you to the Jenkins family for sharing your home with us!

Beautiful home. Spectacular views.

  • 4 of 5

We spent Christmas 2017 at Rocky Top and really enjoyed our stay. It provides awesome space and views for large groups and it is a very comfortable home. We loved the Master Suites, large kitchen and dining area, roomy living space and large back deck.

We would have easily given 5 stars but for a few minor things that could easily be done. We were a bit disappointed that the game room TV was slaved off the main living area tv meaning you had to watch the same thing in both areas. We were also a bit surprised that only 2 of the bedrooms had a tv. For a house of this caliber and for the small cost it would take to put a couple more TVs in so all could enjoy them at night, etc. we were kinda bummed about the lacking in the TV department. We also did not have great internet connection which again is not a huge thing for us but be aware in this area apparently it is hot spot or nothing.

We were pleasantly surprised at the amount of little extra things like games and puzzles in the cabin. There were also a plethora of dvd movies to watch and even some toddler/baby toys in a box for little ones. The house has all of your basic needs and utensils so you needn’t worry about bringing the basics and then some.

You have quick access to Cades Cove and also have a few restaurants and stores within 5 miles of the house.

We would definitely come back and stay again and would like to see this same area in the summer! All in all it was a very comfortable and relaxing stay.

Beautiful property

  • 5 of 5

There were 9 of us staying at this gorgeous property. Plenty of room. We had a blast. Kitchen was big and had everything we needed. Hot tub was wonderful. Plenty of room in the dining room. It was nice having a washer and dryer. We enjoyed the gas fireplace. The pool table had holes in two of the pockets and some of the chess and checker pieces were missing. The downstairs shower had no water pressure. I actually think it was the shower head. Also the faucet in that shower is adjusted to scalding or freezing, no in between. We could live with those few minor details. We loved the cabin. Had no problems with anything so did not have to call house keeping or maintenance. We loved our stay.
