Nestled in the foothills of the Okanogan valley surrounded by orchards and vineyards is Lake Osoyoos, reputed to be the warmest lake in Canada. We invite you to Casa Del Mila Oro Resort & Spa to enjoy our lake front, immaculately kept, three bedroom 1600 sq. townhouse. Our guests tell us it’s one of the best locations in Osoyoos, the private beach is just across the street with docks for your boat. Cove beaches are cut into the expansive grass recreation area for your private family picnic. The resort is in walking distance to many amenities including Rattle Snake amusement park for the kids with go-carts and 40 flavors of ice-cream. You’ll never run out of things to do in Osoyoos with the world class golf courses, water sports, cycling, horseback riding, helicopter rides and desert treks. Add a never ending list of fine dining and wineries to discover in the Okanagan that was recently voted the world’s best wine destination. Did we mention the never ending sun compliments of Canada’s only true desert? If you can’t take the heat come and enjoy the spring and fall wine festivals, or snow shoeing and skiing at Mount Baldy or Apex. With mild winters and welcoming locals, Osoyoos is becoming one of Canada’s top snowbird destinations. Our resort is a family oriented, non-smoking resort and a small dog is welcomed.

About Chris and Debbie Cromwell
We had always intended to retire in the sunny Okanagan and finally in 2014 we were able to do it. The townhouse was our summer and fall vacation spot before we hung up the business attire. We’ve recently built a mountain cabin close by so we are always accessible if the very capable staff are not able to take care of your needs.

Why Chris and Debbie Cromwell chose Osoyoos
Weather was the primary factor in choosing Osoyoos. The dry heat was perfect for our old bones and the almost guaranteed sunshine was perfect for our kids who love being active. Both my wife and I grew up in small towns and we wanted to get away from the concrete and cars and the anonymity of a big city and get back to a place where you could get to know your neighbours. The best part is when we have visitors we have top notch world glass golfing, restaurants, wineries and boating to keep them entertained…if they’re here to simply relax there is salmon and bass in the lake to fish for. There is always something going in the area, with the wine festivals, cherry festival, car shows and horse races. To top it all off, Osoyoos has one of the largest fire work displays on Canada Day after Ottawa…it makes the place pretty hard to beat.
What makes this Townhome unique
The townhouse is centrally located, with a very well maintained pool and hot tub. In the front is a great view of the lake from your private patio and upper floor balcony. The townhouse is very well equipped with granite counter tops, wine fridge, electric fireplace, fridge with ice-maker and glass top stove and matching microwave. The main floor has one two piece bathroom with tile and hardwood floors. The lower patio is stamped concrete with high cedar dividers for privacy, and comes equipped with a weber gas BBQ. The top floor has three bedrooms, two with queen sized beds and one with a double bed and a single bunk bed over top. There is one three piece washroom with shower and one four piece ensuite off the master which has a lake view and covered balcony. The upper floor has highly durable stain resistant Berber carpet. The unit is completely furnished for your comfort with all the utensils and small appliances for your convenience including a blender for that late night cocktail.

Another fantastic family vacation at the House of the Golden Mile!
Property and unit is well maintained, great beds, fantastic kitchen supplies. Feels like home every time...
Glad to hear you enjoyed your vacation at our townhouse. Thank you for the lovely review.
Hope to see you back for future holidays.
Great location and home
The condo lay out is great for a family, and with the beach directly across the street it was so easy to spend our days there. The condo was clean, updated, and the only thing that could have made it better is a larger bed in the master suite, but even so, the mattresses were all very comfortable!
Thank you for the lovely review. We are happy that you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you back for future vacations.

Wonderful vacation home in a great location!
Our family of 4 adults and 2 small children just finished a wonderful vacation here. Questions that came up before we left were answered promptly, so self check-in was a breeze and the week went smoothly. On arrival there was another vehicle parked in the condo's assigned stall but on site management was quick to respond and handled the situation.
The condo is spacious, comfortable, and uncluttered; tile and hardwood floors on the main level make this an easy space to care for. We liked having the water/ice maker in the fridge, and a blender to make smoothies. There is a wine fridge to house those special purchases from the many local wineries. The a/c kept us comfortable in the July heat. New carpeting leads upstairs to the two large bedrooms filled with natural light. Comfortable beds, nice linens, and good lighting made for a restful end to the day. The kids loved the bunk bedroom with it's skylight. The family sized washer/dryer is on this level.
The bathrooms are large and clean, with nice thick towels and a supplied hairdryer. On the patio, the BBQ worked well and the cooling mister came in handy.
Provided - in each bathroom, a box of tissues and one extra toilet paper roll; in the kitchen, coffee filters, dish soap, a scrubber, and 6 dishwasher pods; by the washing machine, 6 laundry detergent pods, alongside a stack of pool towels. We would have liked to have garbage bags, cleanser, and toilet cleaner provided, but there is a Dollar Store and Home Hardware in town to stock up.
Trees and green space give both morning shade and afternoon sun to the patio, so it was delightful at any time of the day or evening. The youngsters loved making sandcastles on the resort's private beach, and jumping into the clean resort pool. At the end of a busy day, everyone was out on their patios about the same time, and there would be a buzz of laughter and conversation, but resort rules for quiet time, pets, and smoking were followed quite well.
The resort sits at the top end of a busy road, but drivers are cautious and courteous. There are crosswalks and good sidewalks. Overnight noise, whether from vehicles or pedestrians, was minimal and quickly dispersed.
Fine wineries and fruit stands are a 10 min. drive away, as are sports rentals. Be sure to take the kids to the Desert Model Railway in town; it's a delight.
We've never been disappointed with a VRBO choice yet, and are happy to add Deb and Chris's to our list of favourites!
So glad you enjoyed your vacation. Thank you for the lovely review and hope we see you back again.

Located on the far north tip of the Sonora Desert. There is desert wildlife and cactus. There are views of the Cascade Mountain Range and the lake straddles the US boarder.
