We recently stayed at this property for five nights and would definitely consider it again, but some simple changes would make it significantly better. First of all, it's an older property and that is always going to create a few quirks - the stairs will be a challenge for some and the layout is a little quirky, but that was expected going in, and would not be unusual for a building like this, so that was all fine. On the ++ side, the location is outstanding - so close to the promenade and situated in the old city with everything so close .... it couldn't be better. Also, the air conditioning is a game changer - on the top floor in the summer would be very unpleasant, so having the AC available was wonderful. Our only recommended changes are around some small items, but ones that would be easy to make and convert my rating from 'quite good' to outstanding. (1) it could be cleaner - it wasn't a problem, but it was far from spotless; (2) better quality towels and more of them - the towels are thread bare and there are barely enough, which is tough when you're staying for five days like we were, and (3) better quality sheets and bedding - they were poor quality, had a couple stains on them, and should be better.
With those small changes, the apartment would be really good and definitely change my review from it being a good option to consider, to somewhere that I would recommend to anyone.
