Not As Expected
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This room is in need of a total renovation and new furnishings are needed. For example, there was a broken lamp in the living room. The lamp was actually taped near the base with what appeared to be shipping tape. The ceiling fan in the bedroom was wobbling and apparently wasn't attached to a wooden beam in the ceiling. I feel this is a safety issue. There was a broken glass table in the bedroom that had tape in two places. This was definitely a hazard. The comforter was an old comforter and not the white one that was in the photos online. It had a tear in it and looked very worn. There was a broken plate above the bedroom sink area where a wire was coming out of the wall. The bathroom exhaust fan was not operating at all. There was trash underneath the sofa when we arrived. The black coffee pot was totally rusted and needed replacing. It was totally impossible for a person to stand in front of the refrigerator and open the door because the kitchen is such a tight space. We have been staying in Ocean Forest Plaza since the 1970s. We have never rented a room at Ocean Forest Resort that wasn't in pristine condition. Unfortunately, for our next beach trip we will be looking for a new place to stay. I know that the air conditioning system is totally out of control of the rental company, but there was one night that the air conditioning system went out during the night and the temperature got very uncomfortable.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location is great. However, the mattress was not great and needs to be replaced. New fridge, stove, microwave and dish washer. However, no vent for the microwave, consequently small particles of white stuff blew out over the stove and counter when used. The dishwasher was not installed properly, so when you opened the door, it tipped forward. The view of the ocean was great from the 16th floor. We would not rent this property again and would not recommend it to a friend or relative.

Great location but room had many issues

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This location was great but there were a number of issues with the room. The outside of the refrigerator was disgusting. The pots and coffee maker were filthy. The coffee maker had red mold growing in it. Cleaning staff was responsive to my requests but I never heard back from the maintenance staff. The lamp next to the bed had no knob so it was unusable and there were multiple light bulbs that didn't work in the unit. I asked for assistance but never heard back from anyone. Also, several outlets in the unit didn't work and the only outlet that worked in the kitchen was a power strip that was run through a cabinet and stuck to the side of the wall. The blow dryer in the unit didn't work.

Ocean Forest - A Favorite Family Spot
My husband and I really enjoyed our vacation. Location, location, location - we love the family friendly section named Ocean Forest. We rented an umbrella on the beach and carefree and happily rolled down to our “spot” each day. The ocean front balcony on the 16th floor is spacious and provides ample views. A few suggestions to make your stay comfy: 1. Bring extra pillows and a soft blanket; 2. Bring soap, shampoo, conditioner; 3. Bring dish towels and a casserole dish if you like to cook. Also coffee maker is old school - so bring a bag of ground coffee. We will be back! 😁
