Banks Road VHR oceanfront/beachfront house was built in 2004. The house was built with an open, bright, happy concept to accommodate up to six people comfortably.
The living/dining room combo has a 20 foot cathedral style pine tongue and groove ceiling with huge windows looking out onto a beautiful view of the Gulf of St. Lawrence. It also has a wonderful wood fireplace.
There are maple hardwood floors throughout the house. The kitchen features butcher block counter tops and a refinished antique farmhouse sink with the Gulf view.
There is a huge deck that has three separate entrances and includes an outdoor shower.
The first floor bedroom has two twin antique wrought iron beds. Next to that bedroom is a full bathroom with shower. The laundry area is located in the hallway adjacent to the bedroom and bathroom.
The second floor is fabulous! This is an open loft style bedroom with a king size antique wrought iron bed and a futon bunk bed with a double bed on the bottom and a twin on top. This is one big loft area and the beds are all in the same room together. Great for adults or kids. Great ocean views from the many windows too.
There is a large bathroom with a tiled steam shower. On a rainy day after a hike, run or ride, this steam is wonderful!
Our house sits 300 feet in from the road on 17 acres. Very private. There is a hiking path (about 15-20 minute walk; 400 meters/1200 feet) to our beautiful beach.
Banks Road is just one mile from the town of Inverness which has shopping, restaurants, a public beach with cafe and the Cabot Links Golf Course, Golf Digest's “World's 100 Greatest Golf Courses” (#42) and Cabot Links (#19).
