Best Location on Kaanapali!

I have to say that the Whaler has the best location on Kaanapali! Its minutes walk to the whaler village, great resturants, snorkeling and probably the best beach location. You can rent paddle boards and snorlke gear right by the pool wich is steps to the Ocean!! You really don't have to leave once you arrive. We wanted to be centerally located on the kaanapali so our teen girls could feel free to wander with out us driving trhem around looking for beaches. They met kids on the beach and snorkled and boogie boarded together. The girls slept on the murphy bed. We were impressed by it's comfort and would like to get a murpgy bed at home. The master bed was wonderful! We have a really nice bed at home and alway dread the hotel beds, but we didnt miss our at all. This unit has everything! It was very clean and well stocked with every kitchen utensils and appliances you will ever need. The Whaler has bbq's and a beautiful fire pit table right on the beach....or as close as you can get on the beach. I'm giving it 5 stars because the owner was terrific communicating with us, checking in to see if we had any questions once we got there. I feel Jim payed close attention to detail and quality in the unit. I would definatly rent this unit again. My olny issue was that we didnt stay long enough!

We will be back

This was our second stay in this unit. We love the location...being on the beach is required for us, third floor is perfect for the view and taking the stairs. We like the convenience to Whaler village, the walk to the end of the beach walk and back to Starbucks in the morning and the short trip to the Kaanapali Beach Hotel Tiki Bar in the afternoon. Jim has it well stocked with amenities that make it feel like home. The large corner lanai makes it roomy and eliminates a neighbor. Both stays we have invited a relative to visit. The accommodations are perfect for that and they loved it too. Monkey Pod Happy Hour has remarkable Mai Tai's and great pot stickers.

Location - Can't be Beat - Highly Recommended!

We (me, wife and 3 year old boy) just spent 10 days in Maui at The Whaler in unit #374. We absolutely loved the experience! The condo was spacious, has a gorgeous view of the front lawn/garden area and of course the ocean view. Morning coffee on the huge lanai was a treat. We also really liked that there were beach chairs, flippers, umbrellas, etc for our use. There is also a handy Murphy bed in the living room. At 8:30am each morning you can feed the fish in the Koi ponds in the front, a big hit with the kids! The team at the concierge desk were so very helpful, a special shout out to Pierre who helped secure a rental car at a fantastic price and of course is very knowledgeable on all activities on the island.

The location can't be beat. You are only steps to the beach and pool. To the right you are maybe a 10 min walk to amazing snorkeling/swimming at Black Rock. To the left, literally a 5 minute walk to the shops/restaurants of Whalers Village. If you have kids there is a lower court yard where they have a small water park and a climbing structure. On certain nights they have movie night usually kids movies.They also have bus service to the town of Lahania for $2.00. On that same bus route you will find a Safeway which is only about 10 mins into the route.

The owner James was communicative and genuinely wanted us the have a great time. Highly recommended unit for all those reasons above. We will be back for sure!

Couldn’t ask for more!

Great location! Beautiful corner unit with all the amenities including boogie boards snorkel gear, quality beach chairs ., owner was extremely helpful and always available on island.He even got us guest cards to Lahaina yacht club From check in at the Aston front desk to sunsets on the lanai this unit and property checks all the boxes. Underground parking and the fitness center we’re also a bonus! We would not hesitate to rent this unit again.

Excellent condo in the best location

My husband, myself and our two grown up daughters stayed in this condo for 9 nights just before Easter. Jim has been great to deal with and responded immediately to any queries. The condo is spacious, very well equipped with good quality appliances and the beds were comfortable, especially the new mattress in main bedroom. So useful to have the washer dryer too. The cool boxes were really useful for days out and there were snorkelling sets and beach umbrellas/toys. The condo is well placed in the building. Very quiet and high enough on the 3rd floor to give fantastic views over the ocean to Molokai island and the beautifully maintained gardens. We saw whales almost every day! Proximity to the Whaler Village is unbeatable for restaurants, cafes and shopping (and free ukelele lessons!) We would highly recommend Jim’s condo and hope to return some day! Mahalo Jim!

Maui Getaway

Just returned from a girls getaway in Maui, staying at The Whaler, room 374. Upon arrival, we found the condo to be exactly as described online. The condo was very clean, very quiet, access to beach chairs and gear, and our own washer/dryer. Our favorite thing was sitting on the spacious Lanai with the beautiful view of the ocean. The location is great as well. A short walk to The Whaler Village for shopping, restaurants, or whatever else you might need. Working with James was a plus. I contacted him prior to the trip and was pleased that he was very responsive, contacting me quickly and answering all my questions. He did everything to ensure we had a wonderful time. Would definitely stay in this condo again.
